Just got From Dusk Till Dawn, and Two Evil Eyes signed by Tom Savini last night. He was doing a lecture at my university, and was signing autographs afterwards.

I just got Strange Brew and SCTV Season 1 autographed by Dave Thomas - he was very nice, apparently in KC just to do a screening of a new movie he is in.

(other than that, only have A Better Place and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back signed, as purchased from the Stash)

I got the Reno 911! Season 2 DVD signed by the entire cast of the show (the main 7 at least). They had a DVD release signing here in L.A. at the Virgin Megastore the week it came out. They each signed it as their character and their real name. They were all very nice and they stayed a couple hours late to sign everyone's stuff. It was a fun way to kill a Wednesday evening.

A few months ago, Bruce Willis was in Toronto filming the upcoming Richard Donner film, "16 Blocks". My girlfriend called me one day to tell me that she was following Bruce on Bloor Street. I suddenly came up with the brilliant idea to have her continue to follow him until I met up with her with my DIE HARD dvd.

15 minutes later, I caught up with her, but she told me that he went into the Varsity theatre to see KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (as per the cashier). I bought a ticket and proceeded to scan the dark theatre which started playing commercials.

Suddenly I saw Bruce in the centre aisle and I presented my dvd asking, "Excuse me, Mr. Willis...I realize that this is unusual, but..." When he glanced to see my DIE HARD copy and a sharpie, he interrupted saying, "sorry, man...it's my day off. I don't do that on my day off". I answered, "I understand. Thank you." I left the theatre, but not until I received a refund for my KINGDOM OF HEAVEN ticket.

Although I was disappointed that he didn't sign my dvd, at least I was happy that he was gracious about declining. After all, he might have thought that I was some kind of deranged fan.

A friend of mine got his Seven CE signed by Morgan Freeman, who signed it on the cover of the inner case (the one that looks like John Doe's notebook).

Thought I would share some of the DVD signings I got at Comic-Con 2005. You can click on the pic for a larger look:

Sisters signed by Margot Kidder at the Superman group.

Dead Ringers signed by David Cronenberg. He also signed Crash but it doesn't show up that well.

Bubba Ho-Tep signed by "Elvis" himself.

Fire and Ice signed by Ralph Bakshi... no pic of Ralph. Why? I'm an idiot.

Caught him on a book tour a couple of years ago. I would pick your most wanted item, since he would only sign one thing per person, either the book you had to buy, or your own item, on that occasion. I've also caught him at E3, but the rule is pretty much the same, since there's really high demand for him, particularly if he's not charging.

Henry Rollins: Up For It (Henry Rollins)

Henry Rollins: Talking From the Box / Henry Goes to London (Henry Rollins)

Evil Dead: Book of the Dead (Tom Sullivan)

Day of the Dead (Tom Savini)

Dawn of the Dead 4-disc collector's edition (Ken Foree)

Night of the Living Dead (John Russo & Russ Streiner)

Space Ghost Coast to Coast vol. 1 (George Lowe)

Sullivan drew a picture in my Book of the dead, Streiner (Johnny at the beginning of NotLD) wrote "They're coming to get you, Scott..." and George Lowe (voice of Space Ghost) wrote phrases and word balloons ALL OVER the packaging and casing - but when I got home I noticed that he never signed his name, he signed it as "Space Ghost."

You should have gotten her to sign your Family Guy Season 3 DVD also.

The only DVD I have signed is my Dukes of Hazzard season 1 DVD. "Cooter" signed it for me when he was at a Huntsville Stars minor league baseball game last year.

Ah, sweet. Here's a question: do they usually have sufficient writing utensils? I'd like to get him to sign my Evil Dead 2 tin, but obviously your usual sharpie wouldn't show up too well.
