Neat! I didn't know that we had a topic like this here.
I first got into getting my DVDs autographed a few years back and have been hooked ever since (even going overboard sometimes! :p ). Nowadays I bring nearly a complete set of markers with me (from sharpies to paint pens in various sizes) - it's an addiction ;) After a while you start to see what works best (reflective materials like some Universal HDDVDs are usually a no-no), others will give people some trouble (paint pens), I like to go with either a sharp sharpie (no pun intended) or one of the slightly thicker paint pens in a shaker-case. Some of the best I've seen are the reflective "Shiny" markers found in kids market sets (especially when you get some various colors for different people to sign with) Most of my collection is in here: http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/7...neddvdsby2.jpg [not pictured] Cowboy Bebop: The Movie: Toshihiro Kawamoto (character design artist) tATu - The Best (DVD/CD): Signed by both girls Ren and Stimpy: John K, Eric Bauza and Jim Smith Dawn of the Dead: Ken Foree Sin City (Extended): Rosario Dawson (also on removable case inside) Josie and the Pussycats: ROsario Dawson House of 1000 Corpses: Sid Haig Sin City (UMD): Rosario Dawson Clerks II (HDDVD): Rosario Dawson Poultrygeist Preview DVD: Lloyd Kaufman Land of the Dead (HDDVD): George Romero Sin City: Brittany Murphy From Dusk til Dawn: Danny Trejo Sin City: Rosario Dawson (..And by this point she was saying "Wow, you really like this movie, don't you?" :p ) Mega 64 Time: Mega 64 cast Once upon a time in Mexico: Danny Trejo Dawn of the Dead: Ken Foree Suicide Girls: Several girls Devils Rejects: Ken Foree, Sid Haig, Rosario Dawson There were a few others I met recently that unfortunately weren't signing personal items (Milla Jovovich :( ) |
I bet you got a few of those at Comic-Con :)
|
A lot of them I did - I seem to keep running into the same people over and over (Sid Haig, Ken Foree, Rosario Dawson) with new stuff to sign ;)
Aside from the DVD's I had a lot of other near movie memorabilia signed (a Machete mini-poster by Danny Trejo, a grindhouse book by some of the cast, a Resident Evil mini-posted by Milla, Ali Larter, Paul WS Anderson and one of the creature designers, and a neat poster of the Crazy Babysitter Twins from grindhouse). I was so close to making the trip to the east coast for one of the horror conventions a few months ago.. but my wallet wasn't quite ready for the trip :p |
I'm a big fan of scream queen Brinke Stevens. She always comes to Comic-Con, so one year I had a picture taken with both of us. The next year I printed it out and she signed it.
This year, I didn't have that much signed. But the few I got were goodies. Thanks for sharing your collection  |
i only got one dvd signed it is up the ass vol 56 signed by nautica thorne. so i guess you can say i am in the game too lol
|
Success! Got my Heroes S1 Best Buy exclusive comic signed by Jeph Loeb, Zack Quinto, James Kyson Lee, and Dania Ramirez. My first dvd-related autograph. Now to bag and seal the comic before slipping it into the dvd box.

As we were waiting outside, Peyton Reed (director of Bring It On and Break Up) passed by. After realizing who he was, we called him. We talked to him for a good 5 minutes and bought the last copy of Bring It On at the store. He signed both the cover and the insert booklet. He said he was a big Darabont fan but didn't have time to wait. Me and my friend had Spike Lee sign a pizza hut box. He's more playful than he looks and just laughed it off. Jason Isaacs said he'll never work with Michael Bay again and told us it was only us and his mom that saw Dragonheart. |

Also check the websites for local bookstores and such to see if they hold signings. |

Oh, I didn't even think about that, I need to check out their website more often, I guess.
Neil's a nice guy though, signed my Descent and Dog Soldiers, as well as a Doomsday one-sheet (also signed by his wife), all for FREE. Can't beat that. :) |

Oh, even though I already comments on SPIDERone's collection, I just noticed he got his Sin City Extended signed in gold. I had her sign mine in silver but I liking the gold on black look. I'll have to remember that next time. |

Most of you guys live in favorable cities to meet some of these great people. Nobody hardly comes to Omaha, except for Free Comic Book Day, my local comic shop will have Jeremy Bolluch (Boba Fett) there.
I do have plenty of signed DVDs due to Texas Frightmare I attended this year such as: the cast of Night of the Living Dead, George Romero, Tom Savini, Greg Nicotero, the girls of RZ's Halloween, Malcolm McDowell, Ken Foree, Scott Reinger, Joe Pilato, Tom Aktins, Lynn Lowery, and Margot Kidder. I have Bruce Campbell's auto in his book, "Make Love". I'm trying to get Alexander Payne's auto since he comes to this local arthouse theater which he helped get started, filmstreams.org. |
I just got Anita signed by Christina Lindberg and my Ilsa box set signed by Dyanne Thorne. Not sure that I spelled that correctly.

Where did you meet Christina Lindberg? |
I second asianxcore, where did you meet Christina Lindberg, mrpink?
|
I didn't meet her, she was unable to attend the one show she was at, but I have friends that got it for me.
I believe that there may be a couple Thriller and Anita DVD's signed for, (sorry wrong price) 50.00 if someone is interested. First come first serve to my email. If this is wrong to offer mods please remove the comment. Thorne was very pleasant to meet and still looked good but she was charging to just get a picture taken with her. I'm used to that being included with the autograph. |
I will post pictures later of mine.
I have Pulp Fiction signed by Amanda Plummer. Trilogy of Terror signed by Karen Black and Heat signed by Danny Trejo. I should have a lot more, I've met a lot more, but I usually just get an 8x10 photo signed that they have at there signing table. I usually forget to bring the DVD when I leave for the convention! |
