I thought it was supposed to be released theatrically this past March, from last years delay? But I haven't heard anything about it all year

It got pushed back until the summer. It is listed in the new Entertainment Weekly as being released then.

According to imdb, it will get a limited theatrical release on June 6th, nearly 2 years after the Canadian release. As for a DVD, I haven't heard anything, but I sure want one.

Yeah, I think I heard that in 2000 or 2001 when they were working on it, but it's still not out here. So slow...

It wasn't really a Canadian release, the film was shown "in progress" at the Toronto Film Festival September 2001. Skjoldbjærg said it was the final cut, but it had a temp score (mostly Moby).

Let me send a warning to all that seek the film...

It is awful.

Yes, if Ricci is your thing, it does open with a long topless shot. But the film is a waste of time.

I think it is now being classified as a straight to video release now. I wonder why it was listed as having a theatrical release, but then never released.

it's coming out on DVD tomorrow here in Sweden.. straight to video, although i was able to see it at a film festival last year.. pretty decent film, but no must-see (unless you must-see Ricci topless).

With the Weinsteins leaving Miramax, they've stated that their plan is to dump all of the films they've been shelving onto the market before they go, so as to not leave anything for Disney and for both parties to start over with a clean slate. Prozac Nation was one of the films mentioned. Whether that means a theatrical release first or straight to DVD, I don't know, but we will see it this year one way or the other.

It's been showing on Starz for the last month. I haven't seen the entire movie but, as was mentioned, it's okay. Christina is so oddly-attractive...

I remember when it was first announced she had her nude scene back then, it was a big deal and everyone wanted to see it. Now that its so long after its intial release, does anyone care anymore to see her nude? Speaking of delayed films and nekkidness, I still need to see THE HOLE now that its out on dvd this past year.

Amazon.com has this listed, but is howing the rating as an R. A lot of the "import" releases claim to be "uncut", or "directors cut" versions. Any clue yet as to what's on the new DVD, or what isn't?

This is the first time the movie had been submitted to the MPAA. It's very possible that the "director's cut" only merited an R.

Great, powerful film... And the hottest cover art I've seen in a while.

Im just curious howcome this DVD despite "NOT" being that "jampacked" with extras carries an expensive pricetag of $20+++?

Was it worth that much for a short topless scene of Cristina Ricci?

The movie's decent but not worth $20.
