"...Our goal is to have no "unreleased" list at all!...
...what about the wealth of back-catalog movies from, say, the Twentieth Century Fox library? Such titles as the (Technicolor) FOREVER AMBER, CAPTAIN FROM CASTILE, BLOOD AND SAND, LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN, THE BLUE BIRD, WILSON, HEAVEN CAN WAIT, or the epic (b&w) ANNA AND THE KING OF SIAM or THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM, or the silly but enjoyable (Technicolor) BETTY GRABLE MUSICALS?...
...the (Technicolor) Kurt Weill musical LADY IN TE DARK starring GINGER ROGERS is another 'biggie' that comes to (my) mind...
(...of course these are all 1940s movies most if not all of the young whippersnappers reading this forum will have never heard of...)
...what about the (1930s) movies MARLENE DIETRICH made with VON STERNBERG (afaik only THE SCARLET EMPRESS is currently available, from Criterion)...
...for that matter: what of just about any 1930s/1940s movie starring Ms. Dietrich, or JOAN CRAWFORD, or LANA TURNER, or GENE TIERNEY, or INGRID BERGMAN, or RITA HAYWORTH, or GRETA GARBO or JOHN WAYNE, or CLARK GABLE, or CARY GRANT, or...
...sigh...

funkymonk: missing..... Shock to the System (1990)
I have the not very good UK disc -it's widescreen- but it's still worth getting as this film is excellent and it's better than VHS. One of my favourite Michale Caine films.
The Australian disc seems to be the same release.

Finally today, word from retailers is that Paramount's working on Cool World, Fairytale: A True Story, Joseph Andrews, King David, The Last Tycoon, Oliver's Story, Pretty Baby, The Out-of-Towners, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Plaza Suite, Star Spangled Girl and, of course, Once Upon a Time in the West for November. And among the titles in the works for December are The Great Gatsby, Hud, This Property is Condemned, Wuthering Heights (1992) and Young Sherlock Holmes.
I never thought that this title would see the light of day. We shall see!

This is a great list. I think it would be good to have anchored at the top of the forum. Do you think you could change the part about Remo Williams which is now released to Remo Williams - WideScreen since many of us are waiting for them to do this movie right?
Thanks
Thanks

Update posted today.
I tried emailing to request this thread be made a sticky, but I got no response. Perhaps if you guys also sent an email request in to the mods? Maybe then they'd see there was a demand?

You may want to update the release date on this:
The big fourth quarter holiday season continues to heat up with the first major street date change. Originally scheduled for a November 4th release, The Indiana Jones Chronicles has been bumped up two weeks to October 21st courtesy of Paramount Home Entertainment. Specs and retail price remain the same, and what a nice little early Christmas present...

I posted an update today.
I sorted the already-announed titles out by date and placed them at the top, in order of the date. How does this work for everyone? I'd love to get some feedback before I decide what the best format would be.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Although I appreciate greatly all the work you've done for this list, I personally like the old way of looking at the list easier. I can't really explain why, it just looked cleaner to me.
Like I said, you made the list so it's only your right to make changes to it.

so let's see we have one person who likes the new format, and one who doesn't. I don't really have a preference either way so I'll guess I'll see what others have to say before I decide what would be the best format. Maybe on the next thread I can make one post by title and the second post sorted by date?
