Grand Prix (1966) - any word on a release yet?

Does anyone have any information, rumored or not, on when this movie will eventually be released? Too bad that they could not get it out before the unfortunate death of John Frankenheimer. Well, maybe we can get a commentary with James Garner.

This is one that I'd love to have. Frankenheimer did commentaries for laserdisk releases, so perhaps there is one for this - anyone know?

It would be a little difficult for him to put out a new commentary ...

Uh.... the point is, he did commentaries several years ago for the laserdisk releases of many of his films - but I don't know if Grand Prix was one of them.

Nothing that I have seen, however I am hoping that the release of "The Making of Grand Prix" 09/23/2003 is an indication that we may just see it on the horizon.

I own the letterboxed M-G-M Laserdisc of "Grand Prix" & unfortunately there is no commentary by Frankenheimer.

This would make a nice 2 disc set for WB. Maybe we'll get some word soon.
