I'd definitely buy it!
I can't wait for Season 2 of AITF, which has 2 episodes with Bea Arthur as Maude.

I know the feeling ... I want the complete series of Maude to go on the shelf next to Babylon 5, The Prisoner, Queer as Folk, Buzz Lightyear, and The Mummy: The Animated Series. (ok, a boy can dream, can't he?)

Norman Lear really broke new ground with that one, about the gay couple, Walter and Maude. Funny name for a man, tho.

Maude...

was a spinoff of All in the Family. It aired in the early-mid 70s. It was a big hit. The characters Walter and Maude are husband and wife. Maude is hysterical - to say the very least. Since Three's Company is on disc (pure fluff IMHO), I don't see why this one won't hit DVD eventually.

Maude please.

"Walter, God is gonna get you for that!"

It took a lot longer than I thought/hoped, but it's finally gonna happen!

From DavisDVD:

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Maude: The Complete First Season on March 20th. Prolific TV producer Norman Lear's groundbreaking spin-off from "All in the Family" starred the ever-lovely Bea Arthur as the outspoken and strong-willed title character. The three-disc set will include all 22 episodes presented in remastered fullscreen and Dolby Digital 2.0 tracks. Retail is $29.95.

All you need to know is that Maude was played by Bea Arthur... Funniest. Woman. Ever.

I never watched MHMH but did watch a spin off show called Fernwood Tonight. Would love to get a look at that one again. I will have to check out MHMH as well.

ON Maude, i'm am soooooo incredibly psyched about this release. I've been waiting for years. Bea Arthur is a true classic. One of my biggest regrets is not seeing her on Broadway in Mame. That must have been amazing.

(Which reminds me, when on earth will Mame with Luceille Ball/Bea Arthur finally be released)

While I don't watch the show usually, apparently Bea Arthur is going to be on the View tomorrow plugging the first season release of Maude coming out tomorrow.
