For those of you with The Wire The Complete Series you are well aware that the packaging it comes in pretty much sucks.

I got 5 of these 5 disc holders off Ebay, they will fit right in The Wire cardboard box.

These are much better, furthermore you can cut the episode list off the old packaging and use them as case covers.

If anyone is interested do a search for "5-disc blu-ray" at Ebay.

I haven't gotten mine yet but when I do and get em filled up I will take some pics and post em here.

It's an interesting idea, but it would bug me that they're not Blu-rays. Also, I haven't had any real problems with my packaging, although it is annoying.

This has gotten repackaged. It's now in normal dvd cases. This box is now vertical, and the Best Buy I got this from still had the old version on the shelf too.

I didn't take any in the store, but the old version sits sideways, the new set sits upright like a normal set. Also, it might be slightly larger. The picture on the back of the packaging also shows the dvd cases.

Seeing my picture of the set posted on criterion forum reminded me that I had taken this picture and forgot to post it. Here is a side by side picture with the original set. The original version is on the right, and the new version is on the left. The original version is made to sit sideways on the shelf.
