paramount lenticular re-releases

as it hasn`t been mentioned before:
paramount will re-release the following movies with lenticular packaging on
september 15th:

ruins
cloverfield
uninvited
beowulf
disturbia
sweeney todd

does anyone know if these will be just some glued on lenticular cards, or if the dvds will actually come with 3d slipsleeves?

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

It's hard to confirm when none of those haven't been released yet. Studios don't send repackages to reviewers.

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

Disturbia already had a nice lenticular slipcover from Target.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_VKSVGr4YCg&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_VKSVGr4YCg&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

you are right, but i thought some wholesaler or store owner in the forum
might already seen one of those a few days in advance.

Might pick up Cloverfield if the packaging is nice enough.

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

They are actually o-sleeves with the lenticular on top of the o-sleeve.

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

Do you not have a car or way of transportation? I don't think many people will be on the lookout for re-releases of these flicks.

I'm heading over to Best Buy to grab the last two F13s so I'll let you know if I see them.

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

always making comments before you think sherlock
yes i actually own a car, but what good will it do me if i am home
based in europe and import all my dvds!?

something i have stated in this forum over and over and since you always
seem to have some witty answers to my forum input, i would have guessed
you remember that as well

but anyhow, i would be grateful if you could do a fellow forum user the favor
if you are at best buy anyhow and confirm if possible. after all, even if not all packaging passions or warner antipathies are shared, posting
such questions and having fellow users help should be the general idea of the forum, right

Maybe you should just do everyone a favor and put your location into your profile where everyone can see it...that way people won't have to try and guess (or remember) where in the world you are....
Since this site is based in the USA (and in English), I don't think it's too hard to believe that a lot of people would think most others here are in the USA or Canada....

Why don't you put that information in your side profile like I have mine? I can't keep track of thousands of members and where they live.

I went to Best Buy and will tell you if I saw them with lenticular slip covers if you put your information on the side for all of us to see

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

There we go.

And No. I looked for all the titles and couldn't any of them with a lenticular cover. They may not stock them until a store runs out and Paramount sends additional copies.

Re: paramount lenticular re-releases

very strange that no one seems to know about these re-releases.
they were advertised on many sites as "special lenticular halloween packaging" with like 7 or 8 titles being offered.
following the menace II society thread, where many people didn`t find
that new directors cut or the new friday one at best buy or wall mart, is
it that stores are carying less and less catalogue titles?
for me it doesn`t make a difference, as i have to order everything
online anyhow, but it seems strange that many of these titles seem to
be very hard or in extremely limited numbers at stores!?

ps. whats strange also, is the the new member film girl stated that these lenticular releases
actually come in sleeves in post #9, but she has only ever posted that one statement and never
answered in this thread or to my pm again, so i am not sure how trustworthy that source is.
