Some questions about storing/storage of DVD's during the warm summer months?

I have been storing some factory sealed unopened DVD's (inside cardboard banker boxes with the lid on on) inside a dark dry closet at my vacation home (ranch style house) in a desert type area. There's no air conditioning running of any sort. The temperatures at night probaly drop to between 50 and 70 degrees. During the day outside 75 to 90 degrees. So I'm not sure what the temps woulsd be inside the house. But I just heard some where that heat can cause damage to DVD disc. What type of heat or temperatures are we talking about and how long of a duration, Etc? I haven't been there in a few weeks. And I'm sweating bullets that I might have jeopardized a portion of my unwatched collection that I left there. I'm sweating bullets right now.

Mod's if I posted this in the wrong forum could you please put this in the right forum. I aplologize in advance if this was the wrong forum for this question.
