Angel dvd case question

Angel dvd case question
I finished Buffy season 3 and went to pick up season 4 and Angel season 1 from Walmart. They had seasons 1, 3, and 4 in the regular slimline cases but seasons 2 and 5 were in hard plastic clear cases. Are they available in the slimline cases? I'm guessing this was this just an alternate release they had and I'll be able to find them if I look around, right?

I knew they originally came in the gatefold cases, then they were changed to the thinpacks. Never seen a single plastic case for a season of Angel, though.

I'll have to look for those seasons elsewhere then. It's hard to beat the $14.95 price tag at walmart though. I've looked online and I haven't been able to find anything on the plastic cases though.

Was at FYE saturday, ansd saw these. Each of the Buffy and Angel seasons in a single width amaray. They seemd to have all the discs in each set. Also saw this for the Mash season sets.

I've been trying to find season 2 in the slimline cases but haven't had any luck yet. I thought I ordered the right one from amazon but got the plastic case in the mail. Apparently its called a slim set so I thought it would have the slimline cases. Its being sent back tomorrow.

Saw several seasons of The X-Files in the plastic amaray cases at Meijer today.
I'm not the kind of person to upgrade simply for packaging (well, snappers maybe), but I really wish Fox had thought of this concept when they started releasing television seasons on DVD - or at least before the slimline reissues two or three years ago. I mean, it equals more shelf space for both the retailer and the consumer. Seems like a no brainer. I always despised the gatefold packaging for being both cumbersome and unnecessary in size.

Re: Angel dvd case question
I saw the Buffy/Angel ones the other day at BJ's and was wondering why they changed it. I prefer this amaray case since it'll save me so much room. The only positive side of the original boxes were the artwork, everything else was a big hassle trying to get to the discs.

I'd almost be willing to pay Paramount's inflated prices for Star Trek TNG, DS9, VOY and even ENT if they put them out in these cases.

I wish FOX would do some sort of trade-in or purchase where I can get these cases for the sets of these shows that I bought on release date. Would save so much space on my existing shelf.
