films that i like or think i might like.

for example, i dont want Sex and the City, or the Canada/Russia Hockey steelbooks as I am not interested in them.

I'm the same way. I've definitely been tempted to buy steelbooks for movies I didn't like (10,000 B.C., The Day After Tomorrow), so I usually just stick with movies that I liked (or might like, in the case of one blind buy).

Of course, that's why I only have about 15 steelbooks.

I should really take a pic of my SteelBooks. I have some awesome ones from Europe.

The Dead Girl & Hard Cash Steelbooks were released today, but sadly BestBuy only carries them online only and my Target also the same, online only.

there probably isn't too much demand for a re-release of not so good movies.

Best Buy near me didn't get A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints until the friday of its release week...this seems to be the trend with BB and the FLS steels as I believe they have been in stores a few days after the actual release date.

I have a quick question about Death Trance. I remember reading that some copies of it had a third disc. Is there any particular store (online or B&M) that you're guaranteed to get the 3rd disc if you order it from them?

The description says 2-Disc but mine came with three discs.

since the only people who would buy these are Steelbook collectors, the stores probably dont see a demand for them. I like steelbooks as much as anyone else here, and I dont see a need for me to own either of these titles.

from our limited and non-scientific experiments here on dvdtalk, there is no way to tell for sure. but if you purchase one at any b&m, shake it, feel it, maybe you can tell that there is a third disk inside. iirc, its just a disk in a sleeve inside the steelbook.

If you are able to weigh it, the Death Trance 3-disc weighs in about about 7.2 ounces with the 3rd disc weighing about 1/2 ounce.

Also, the 3rd disc has nothing to do with the movie. It is just a DVD with a bunch of trailers for movies that the distributor of Death Trance also has released.

Oh, I know there are some crazies here that will buy every single steelbook that comes out, regardless of what movie is on the dvd inside. But to each their own.

Thanks for all the answers on this one, folks. Since Wherehouse.com has the current 20% off + free shipping code and actually lists Death Trance as a 3-disc set, I decided to give it a shot and order through them (I also went ahead and pre-ordered some upcoming First Look Steelbooks from the for

Well I was planning to wait for the extended cut coming later this year that integrates Tales of the Black Freighter into the film. Now I'm not so sure.

Well, now it looks like I might HAVE to get it, especially since we all know that there's going to be a ton of Watchmen steelbooks when this movie comes to DVD.
