Can anyone from Canada verify whether the Deluxe Collector's Edition is a steelbooK?

I saw a couple of ones in the 2 for 30$ at my local FS but it's only the Slipcase Deluxe Collector's Edition.

Thank you. I figured $24.29 shipped was too good to be true for the steelbook.

Hey you could always try Amazon.com

They have a new one for $19.99

http://www.amazon.com/Boondock-Saint...2098590&sr=1-4

Does anyone have the inside pics of Superman, V for Vendetta, 300 and Underworld?

Pretty sure that's the plastic case. $69.99 + $2.98 shipping for the steelbook.

I believe that scott1598 has already answered your question.

yeah, i am pretty sure this is correct and all future production of "Boondock Saints" for sometime now was a regular keepcase with exact cover art on a slipsleeve as the SteelBook. the one from dvdboxoffice is most likely the keepcase.
The Canadian version of The Boondock Saints was available in a Steelbook and a plastic keepcase with a slip cover. Once the Steelbook went OOP, the distributor replaced them with the plastic keepcase/slipcover.

Any Canadian online stores that have them, will send what ever is available, whether it be Steelbook or plastic keepcase/slipcover. I would not rely on customer service for help in this matter, as they will probably not know what you are talking about, unless they are a Steelbook collector themselves.

The Canadian version was distributed by Maple Pictures.

They are only rare on Evilbay. :D rotfl rotfl

Not sure if it's affects the rarity, but the Bestbuy US one had an extra bonus disc FS never got. Can't remember the contents.. It's probably buried in the Grindhouse thread..

Yeah, the couple FS I've been to are overflowing with the two Grindhouse and FF4 2 steelbooks..

Hi. Have you seen them using the pre-order cases to scan the pre-order? From my experience with the FYE I got to, if it's not infront of them, they have no idea what I'm taking about..

No I have never seen them use any pre-order case to scan. The person looks it up on the computer and it specifically says it is a steelbook. Call ahead before you head over and then ask them about it. If they get confused, ask to speak with a manager. The pre-order receipt should say steelbook on it. If you have problems, PM me and I can try to find out if there's a specific SKU to look it up or something next time I am at my local FYE.

Price update on the Transformers Steelbooks.

In store price has dropped from $29.99 to $22.99 but the inventory is not showing up on their online store.

Inventory varies at each store.

I knew I wasn't the only one that does this (take the security tags off). I hate them, and I take them off the second I open the case. I do leave the ones buried underneath a digipack case, but I wish I could yank them out also. They annoy me when I see 'em.

I too take all security tags out too, it bothers me SO very much. I also take out all inserts not pertaining to the dvd (mostly ads). However I encountered a first the other day when buying book of secrets - a white security sticker in the dvd case underneath the insert, that will not come out nicely, like the black ones do. Haven't figured out what to do yet. But I would recommend taking all security tags off the inside of a steelbook, show that artwork off :D

Is it just like the small rectangular black ones, or a big square paper-like one? I've seen both, but I've mainly seen the rectangular white ones in digipacks. I've seen some white square paper ones, and those are hell to get off. It's actually best to leave those in, unless you want to deal with the mess they make afterwards in the case. I haven't tried goo gone (sp?) yet, but I've been wanting to get some. I'm sure that might help, if it is stuck on plastic.

From what I can tell, it's basically this but with a white piece of paper over it:

It's NOT this though, no rectangles.

Again, not that one. First one. I left it in the case, for now.

Ram 05-30-08 12:21 PM

I hate those stickers!

I should post my collection with pics very soon.

Thanks for clarifying. I was confused by the difference between the Unrated Special Edition and the Deluxe Edition, but I guess they are the same with different names. Deluxe is the Canadian version and the Special Edition is US.

I'm hoping that the prices at DVDEmpire, starts a downward price trend, as this will make this hobby, more affordable.
US stores already have lower prices when compared to Canadian stores.

Before I forget, I read on another Steelbook forum that Best Buy USA is having a $8.99 sale on The Boondock Saints.
