The King of Kong (Alternative Cover?)

I was looking through some old article elsewhere and seen that they were originally going to use the original movie poster for the dvd cover picture. They changed it to the very generic looking cover that was released. Does anyone know why? Has anyone made a custom cover for the movie based off of the original moive poster?

No slipcover. However, the cover wrapped inside/around the case itself can be pulled out and reversed. IIRC, it's some sort of ink sketch/drawing of the inside of an arcade. I would have preferred the original movie poster myself.

Just saw this movie over the weekend...and really liked it. I am sure it is edited to make the story more biased towards Wiebe....but at the end of the day Billy Mitchell and his crew are a huge set of dicks. That whole thing with the video sent in by Billy was such a con as well.

This is the alternate cover that comes with the DVD (it's on the back of the normal cover, so you just need to remove the sheet from the case, and reverse it). It's by comics artist J. Scott Campbell.

That's J. Scott Campbell? Normally his art is so much more... how do I put this delicately? Tittiful.

Pretty sure it's just Scott Campbell, not the Gen13 guy.

Yeah, that's correct. The KOK cover says "acclaimed artist Scott Campbell" and I thought they had just left the first initial off. I was even thinking it didn't look much like Danger Girl

Anyway, my mistake.

If you mean the reverse, it's the one Legend posted. You just pull it out from under the plastic outerwrap of the keepcase and flip it over.

If you mean the original art:

It would be cool to have a cover artwork which looks like a Donkey Kong machine.
