Do you keep your box covers with your dvd or do you toss them when you buy the dvd. I seem to keep them for some reason. I just want others opinions.

Shouldn't this be in DVD talk?

I just throw mine away, they more often then not tend to have a bunch of stickers on them that will ruin the slip sleeve when you tear them off. So no point in keeping them.

I sure as hell keep them! In fact sometimes I go to some lengths to get the ones with the sleeve if they are available.

I keep all of mine, I was going to throw mine away, but it just doesn't feel right.

That's the way I felt initially. What with the stickers and UPC cutouts I say toss em, it's very liberating. You'll never look back.

(Though I still have a few laying around)

I'm guessing most people keep them.

Maybe some people keep them for if they ever wanted to sell them, maybe the dvd would be worth a buck or two with the original sleve?

Most of the time, I throw them away, if the slipcover art is the same as the cover art underneath. But if it's different, I keep them, a couple of examples being Transamerica (which I also kept because I like the cool lenticular slipcover) and the recent special edition of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. But like I said, most of the time, I throw them away.

I always think to myself "No, don't! You never know" and so annoyingly enough I just keep them.

I keep them. I use it as a space saver when someone borrows the actual movie.

No, it should be in the covers, cases and inserts area. It certainly doesn't have a damned thing to do with discussing movies.

i also keep them! and sometimes it's to my detriment because i spend unnecessary minutes making sure to choose a slipcover that isn't bent or jacked up. and while i know it technically has no monetary value (since the dvd is the same price with or without the slipcover), it just makes it seem like the dvd is worth more to me. it also makes me feel like the studios put a bit of effort into trying to make the dvd look "classy." it's like having a box set for a single dvd, you know? and when they're embossed like the "pan's labryinth" 2-disc or shiny (no better word, i guess) like "casino royale" then it makes it that much better.

For anyone saying you throw them away, I beg of you, sell them to me! See my thread here.

And for the record, I keep all of mine.

I keep them. I don't hunt for them, but if I'm picking up a dvd with one, I try to get one in good shape.
