Official post your Star Wars Tin thread...

You DVD Talk members are the wildest craziest people ever! I go to work for 2 hours and I come home to find 2 emails from Dvd Talk people showing me pictures of them holding their Star Wars Tins! Damn I had no idea people love me so much to take the time to take pictures of themselves with their prized tin cans!
So I decided to make the OFFICIAL Post Your Star Wars Tin Thread so everyone can post pictures of themselves holding their golden tins! C'mon guys let's get creative here...maybe someone can post a picture holding the tin and a sign that reads "Dvdlover631 RULES" or "my heart & tin belongs to dvdlover631"...
C'mon let's get the party started! If anyone wants me to autograph their tins feel free to send them in! I will personalize upon request also!
You guys RULE!

I don't want to see anything peeking out the back door of the tin.

If you stick more than the dvds in the tin it might hurt a bit.

Honestly do you actually think I wasted gas driving all over New England looking for the tin when all I had to do was do a check on Bestbuy.com? Sorry to burst your bubbles but I did not drive anywhere, I did a check on the website and saw it was un-available at all locations in this area. Give it up people!

Telling the truth isn't your strong suit:

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...40&postcount=1

And I qoute you:

"I have been a long time buyer at Best Buy, but I have reached my boiling point with them. I have spent the entire day today traveling to the 3 Best Buys in my New England area. Not one store had any of the Star Wars Tin sets left, not one...I was told 20 per store..that's it! Doesn't Best Buy realize they should have stocked 200 of these sets not 20 to satisfy the Star Wars fans? I was also told there were people in the store yesterday buying multiple sets, I know exactly where does sets are going.....Look on Ebay and there is all you want for the bargain price of $80 plus shipping of course..I can't even order the set online, Bestbuy.com is already sold out. Needless to say I am furious with BB right now. Has anyone had any luck finding the tin today?
Hey Best Buy.........F**K YOU!"

It's called making a story interesting....I did NOT travel anywhere looking for the tin can. I looked on Best Buy's web site and it told me everything I needed to know.
Frankly I could care less if you believe me or not. As of today I don't own one. I am having a great laugh watching those scam artists on Ebay trying to sell them. The price is going down by the hour, I can now purchase one for 69.99, $10 more than retail. I am going to have a nice cold beer now and wait until the Feebay sellers are selling them for LESS than they paid, trust me it will be happening soon...That's it for me, I think I am going to take a nap....Nite Nite

BTW Josh, that is still one hell of a impressive dvd collection. I had more dvd's for sale at my last yard sale! Better quality also! You actually like promoting that pathetic collection? I would run and hide if my collection was that pitiful...

1) I haven't updated my collection links in over a year. Most of us here have collection links. With one glaring notable exception.

2) The size of one's DVD collection does not have any factor with its quality. If you are the kind of person that simply buys DVDs just to own them, then its is in fact your collection that is "pathetic"

3) I will make no apologies for spending my money on things that matter, like a house, cars, vactions, possessions, and saving for the future. All of this is all "better quality" than your DVD collection. Clearly, your measure of self-worth is a DVD collection, which might be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard, and you aren't doing anything to change that perception.

4) Until you have the balls to post your own collection (or stop lying, which would also be nice), your opinions are of no value to anyone.

He may be telling the truth about not going, I checked my store when I went into work (Boston area) and we had plenty, almost 60 of the tins left. I checked our store inventory and all the MA stores had plenty, CT, NH, even ME showed stores that still had stock.

I noticed that it doesn't seem to be listed on the BestBuy.com anymore to even click on to buy and do in-store pickup, so maybe they ran out of stock on the site, but a lot of stores still have plenty. Never 100% trust the website for inventory, it's always better to call and make sure they can actually put their hands on the product you're looking for.

Mod note: STOP W/ THE COMMENTING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S COLLECTIONS ALREADY... How many DVDs people feel the need to collect is a personal thing and there is no contest as to the person who has the most wins a prize.

Since this thread doesn't seem to be being used for the intended purpose either I'm closing it. I guess this was just one SW thread too many...
