Brisco County Jr - missing booklet?

Hey, I just got Brisco County Jr and there is no booklet to be found even though it says there's one included in the special features on the back of the box. Did this happen to anyone else?. Just checking so I can return it if this is uncommon...

I got a booklet with mine. Pretty nice too, with Bruce commenting on every episode.

I just opened mine. Had the booklet. Pretty nice, with some full color pics. Not sure if your store will take it back over a missing booklet, but they might. Worth a try if you really want it.

I'll just pull the old 'defective disc' routine...

It probably depends on where you bought it from, but I've returned DVD's for missing a booklet, and had no problem. The booklet is a part of what you purchased; if it's not there, the product is "defective".

This is true. Anyways returned it back to Future Shop, got a new set and this one too was missing the booklet. I just basicly demanded a refund as the only had one set left and this one was probably screwed too. I'm going to pick it up at Wal-mart today and see if I have better luck. Hopefully this isn't something that's limited to Canada like the Friends box order form fiasco of Nov 2005. If I'm unlucky, does anybody happen to know the contact info (email and phone number ) for Warner Bros dvd Canada?

Bought mine at Best Buy today and it had the booklet. Its a really great booklet so don't accept a set without it, especially considering how expensive this set is.

Got the booklet. I ordered from DVD Planet.

It looks like you should order one from a U.S. etailer.

TVShowsonDVD just posted on this....

It appears the dreaded booklet goblin has struck The Adventures of Brisco County Jr sets in Canada. We've received reports that ALL the sets are missing the booklets, and we've passed the information on to Warner Bros. Unfortunately we don't expect to hear anything back until next week due to people being out of the office for Comic Con, but we'll post another news item when we have something to report.
Ouch. I hope you can get a booklet, but it looks like it may take awhile.

In the last year here's the problems I or my friends have encountered with Warner Bros Canada.

Friends Box- Friends didn't receive the order form for the Friends box in their season 10 dvds. We were given an email adress to write to. I wrote three times, each time receiving a "sorry we'll send you the order form right away' email, but the order form never came. Eventually the offer was gone and I never got the Friends box. I wrote an email expressing my disappointment and seeing what I could do to get one, but never heard back.

Harry potter 1-4 box set - The box set containg all four movies was supposed to include the double disc versions of all of the films. In Canada, they included only the single disc version for Harry potter 4. Future shop had notices up that they wouldn't accept returns but Warner had given an email adress and a phone number to call to get the second disc. My friend who works at FS called the number which was an answering machine. He left a message and also sent an email. He didn't hear anything back. Since he has called 3 more times and sent multiple emails. He never did get the second disc. He just returned the set.

Brisco county - As obvious by this thread we never got the booklet, even though it was advertised on the back of the box. Haven't heard anything in regards to my email, and I'm really not expecting to, based on the awful customer service Warner is appearing to provide. I'm on my third copy and plan just to return this Wal-mart. If they refuse to do a full money return, only to exchange, I'll keep exchanging them until they either return it, or Warner starts shipping copies with the book.

This is pretty much the worst customer service I have ever seen. It's also completely careless and unacceptable that these sets are being shipped missing things. Is there no quality control there?? Do they hire complete morons?? There's got to be some way to rectify this problem instead of just putting up with this bullshit and frustration.

Another Canadian here missing his booklet. If you go to The Warner Bro. help page it tells you to call 1-866-488-4640.

I did just that (at 12:15am) and they took my information and promised to forward it to the right place so I they can send the booklet out to me. I'm not sure how much faith I can put in that. The person on the line said it wasn't part of their job and this hotline was only recently put in place. She assured me that the information taken is usually passed on to the right place on Mondays. She didn't know of any other number we should be calling.

I WAS going to take the DVD back to Wal-Mart, but since it seems no Canadian Brisco set has the booklet, it's a moot point.

This was the first time for me that Warner screwed the pooch. I did get hit with the Back to the Future incorrect crop and a Monty Python and the Meaning of Life interlacing fiasco from Universal though (both eventually resolved with replaced discs).

I returned my set to Walmart today and basicly since I live right next to the border, my friend is going to head in this weekend and pick up a couple of sets from the States. If that wasn't an option I still would have returned it and just ordered from the states. At least I can live happy with the fact that three perfectly good Brisco County sets (minus the booklets) labeled 'defective' are making their way back to Warner Bros.

Same here but worse..

I too have had this problem , Warner Canada free booklet replacement details here:-
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6132

HOWEVER - I am uk based, imported it for £40 , waited a month for customs to check it , they made me pay an extra £11 duty and then I open it to find no booklet!!

To make it worse I contacted Warner Canada on that email and they said a straight "only service to canada". Oh maaaaaaaaaannnn , disappointed...

If I send it back to the etailer for refund then I'll still lose out on the £11 customs duty!

Any willing , friendly US or Canada based board members able to help me out? Pehaps order a replacement for me and I'll pay the postage to get it here?

Cheers guys much appreciated..

If you could...

I would be eternally grateful. I very much appreciate your offer of help.
Please email me so we may discuss.

Did you have to give any boxset specific info?

Thanks and regards

They didn't ask for boxset specific info, just personal information. It was actually quite straight forward. I haven't received mine yet (they said 2 weeks), but I'll try to get another one and if I do, I'll let you know.

Cheers.

Hi Weyland

Very much appreciate your help but I've managed to get a refund - customs charge and all. The etailer tried themselves for a fortnight to get a booklet but to no avail.

This time I'll check its US sourced!

Thanks again
