I just got an advance copy of The Quiet Earth and it's in a steelbook. Really nice case.

Doom 3 (X-Box)
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (GC, PS2, X-Box)

As someone mentioned, the Appleseed LE is one. I also *think* the Ninja Scroll TV series may be in one, although I could be mistaken...

IMHO, Akira LE would be considered a steel book, as it has plastic disc trays affixed to the metal case. I don't know if it was made by the actual Steel Book manufacturers, but it is very similar.

I think he means that this is the R1 "edition" of the Name All Steelbooks Spectacular Spectacular. He started another version of this exact same rigamarole in the international thread.

I like that these steelbooks are the same size as a normal case, unlike the Pioneer Akira release which was considerably larger.

Would love to get that Flash Gordon in R1! Haven't seen that movie in years.

Flash! Flaaaaash!

i took mine out last night. it really does look like a steelbook, before the "steelbook". except for the size, and maybe the spine, it's tin wrapped around digipak trays.

Steelbook™ is a trademark and has patents for their designs. If it is a Steelbook it'll say it on the case.

Were the DVDs in the Steelbook packaging? or were they just handing out the empty case with purchase.

What about the V for Vendetta at future shop?

Thanks to anyone who knows.

Must have missed the that bonus when it was released.. I picked up the Little Mermaid today and it had a bonus Steelbook at checkout.. X-Men 3 was prepackaged in a Steelbox as a Future Shop exclusive..

Others Steelbook bonuses at checkout were V for Vendetta and Underworld Evolution..
