DVD's with slipcase

Although it may look good and protect your dvd case from scrathces, I find the slip covers use on movies like Doom, Mr & Mrs Smith-Cinderella man etc. to be very annoying.

First, who needs two covers of the same movie anyway. Secondly. it bends the plastic cover on the edges everytime you slip it in and out. It also is a hassle of it being to tight that you can even take the cover out

Does anyone know why they do this???

If the slipcase has the same artwork as the regular case, I toss it.
