Problem with printing..

hey all,

I'm having a little problem with printing. When I print out the covers, they're just SLIGHTLY too large. I'd say that i have to crop a 1/4 of an inch all the way around. Is there a way to get around this and have it print out at the right size to fit in an amaray case?

What program are you using to print? Do you know the dimensions and DPI of the image?

None in particular. I'm just clicking on the picture and clicking print.

I'm not at home at the moment so I don't know the DPI.

If you're using Microsoft Picture Viewer, which I think you are, it doesn't respect the images actual properties. I'm guessing you've got a standard resolution image of 3240x2175 @ 300dpi.

Try getting ahold of Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or even some free cover printing software like CoverXP or the like. I typically use PSP for printing.

I will check that out. Thank you!

EDIT: After looking at the website for coverxp, i vaguely remember using it and it TOO didn't print out at the proper size. Could this be true? I'll give it another try tonight.
