I got mine on Monday. It's not bad... still not sure what i'll use on my shelf though.

No wonder they didn't show any pictures. Who would have bought it if they had? It looks like they were planning from the beginning to screw us. I still havent got mine either, 2 weeks and counting, but as soon as I do, I will write my first ever email complaint to a studio. I honstly feel as though I've been ripped off.

Just got mine today. I have to say, it's not nearly as bad as some think it is. It's made out of the same glossy cardboard as the other sets. It's not as good as the digipack, but it's MUCH better than the plastic head.

I just got mine too, like 10 minutes after I made my previous post. I'll admit, it's not as bad as it seemed, and does look like the others when put on the shelf. If it actually had a fold down top, it would be even better. How hard would that have been?

But the fact remains that we were led to beleive we were getting the SAME thing as the previous versions, when that wasn't the case. The exact words were "a very derivative, old style, nothing new, just like before box." So who wouldn't have expected a nice digipak? That's blatant false advertising if you ask me.

How is this false advertising... it says you'll get a box and you got a box. It doesn't say anything about the inside packaging.

"Just like before" this ain't. A digipack would have been "just like before."

Just got mine today as well. I actually thought it would be worse, but am quite pleased with the quality of it.

Trust me... it says "box" instead of "packaging" for a reason.

Got mine. Yeah it sucks it doesn't match the others, but I'm happy to have it. Looks halfway decent on the shelf.

It's simple: saying something is exactly the same as it was before and then sending something different is false advertising. And since it says everything is the same, it is IMPLIED that the inside packaging would be the same also.

In hindsight, it is now easy to see why their site was so vague and contained no pictures...it was so they could send this us this box and then say, "well, we NEVER said it was going to be a digipak." Which is true, so shame us on us for beleiving what they "seemed" to be saying. It's safe to say pretty much everyone thought they were getting a digipak. Why expect anything else when their site says it was "old style, nothing new, just like before". As I mentioned before, the box is definitely very nice for what it is, but that does not excuse intentionally misleading the customer. I wouldn't have bought this if I'd know what it was. Granted, it was only $3.00, but I can print better covers at home, and will be shortly, most likely.

So what is really the point of this thing? Just to make it look uniform sitting on a shelf next to the others? It simply covers the head? Sorry, but that's lame. I can understand wanting to make the sets look uniform, but I WATCH my Simpsons DVD frequently; I hate the head because it's an ass-pain to keep opening the damn thing up, it's flimsy, cheap quality packaging. I think that's why most of here were expecting/hoping for the old-style box, which SEEMED to be what they said we would get.

Mine also has not arrived as of yet. And I did recieve the Sep 15th e-mail. Boy, for something was supposedly shipped out, it's taking an awfully long friggin' time to come in the mail.

Is not great but it's an improvement over the cheap original packaging.

Got mine, and although it's not exactly the same as the old packaging, that's fine. I don't care if it's exactly the same at all. And the jewel case packaging was kinda neat with the homer head so, I'm not bothered. I say this looks nice on the shelf, it'll do.

I think Maggie Simpson is actually crawling around the country hand delivering them. I haven't received mine yet, either.
