Anyone who also purchased from Coconuts know if there is a way around this??

For the box replacement, you only need to send one of the following three as your POP:

1) Your original receipt
2) The little insert that has the 1-800# listed on it
3) The POP from the back of the episode guide

So if the Coconuts rebate form only needs the receipt and/or the POP from the booklet, just send in the insert as your proof of purchase for the case.

I can def see Matt G giving us the same size packaging as the other seasons with the same digipaks as before, hopefully anyways....he can't be that much of a jackass not to give us what we've had and enjoyed the last 5 seasons.

I have mine sent in even though I don't mind the head at all, although its a bit on the cheap side.

Ahh, thanks. I completely missed the "or"s there. I still think its kinda silly to have to prove you bought the set regardless though.

Very. I was taking out disc three to listen to the commentaries and the third plastic flap snapped right off. Then I lightly pushed it back in to line up with the rest, and the one above it snapped off.

I called and they said they'll replace the Homer Head with a new one for free if I send the broken one back in. But they won't replace it with the Original box packaging. Still have to pay the Shipping and Handling for that one.

That's probably smart, since anyone could say they broke theirs to get a free one of the Original packaging. But it still pisses me off.

Mine was also cashed yesterday...looks like we could be getting these in the next couple of weeks.

Artman 09-05-05 03:20 PM

We should probably prepare ourselves for the fact that it might just be the outer box we're getting, something that would hold (loosely if it's the same box size) the current gatefold case. There was an alleged photo of the box at the nohomers site, but it's authenticity was somewhat questionable.

I guess I'll just be pleasantly surprised if we get the full digipack inner case.

Quack 09-05-05 08:43 PM

Yea, that's what I want, I full digipak inside the case....Come on Matt...leave things be....

Artman 09-06-05 02:03 AM

Why would he have anything to do with this? He's involved with the DVD's content yes, but I doubt he's given any input on the package design.

The possible replacement cover art looks nice, I'll give it that. :)

I could have sworn I saw a post somewhere where that alternative pkg was from the UK version....
