Question for those who've bought Winn-Dixie...
I was at Border's today and thought I'd pick up a copy of Winn-Dixie for my daughter's upcoming birthday. (Yeah, I know, horrendously expensive even with a coupon, but I was already there...). Anyhoo, every single flippin' copy they had in the store had the UPC cut out of the slipcover!!! I asked one of the clerks ("WTF", but in a nice way), and the lame excuse she came up with was "maybe they were produced that way so the scanners could pick up the UPC on the clamshell".... for those of you who've already bought it (from somewhere other than Border's), was yours cut as well? Help, please!

More and more slipcovers are coming this way so as to prevent people from slipping other, more expensive titles into the slipcovers and getting them for a better price.

Why don't they instruct the clerks to look inside?
I do remember seeing someone change slip covers at Best Buy on a Playstation Game or one those systems.

Well, it's official.... we bought our copy at Fred Meyer last night, and it, too, had the hack job with the slipcover. Here's hoping they find a better way to manufacture that soon...
