Please help...

Hi,

I own a DVD rental shop and we rent out DVD's... but one problem that we ALWAYS face no matter how many copies of the DVD we order from the Distributer is that they get damaged and scratched by the customers.... We have to order more and more DVD's because so many of them are damaged by customers who don't know how to put DVD's inside or they just drop them...

We even had one customer who brought a DVD back with cheese on the bottom of it.. it was disgusting..

Anyway, I am looking for plastic protective covers or like protective film that would protect DVD's from getting scratched and thus save me $18 on EACH new DVD that I have to order...

My shop does pretty well... We rent out Bollywood DVD's so we have customers who don't know how to use DVD's at all too.. They don't know how to hold them either...

Again please help.. I am looking to order like 500 - 1000 of these protective covers... Deals would be nice too

Thanks!!!!

Try these.

D-Skin protective skin covers:

www.d-skin.com

They come in packages from 5 to 100. The cheapest place I saw to get the 100 pack is here:

The D-skins work great. I use them on all my Xbox games. Not so hot for cd's as my slot loading car stereo won't accept them. For dvds though they should be fine.

Thanks guys.... but is there anything out there that is like a protective film you stick on the DVD? And also if these DVD skins get scratched, does that matter? Thanks!

From the Best Buy site:

Do you hate when your favorite DVDs, CDs and video game discs get scratched? Do you hate having to go through the process of using a scratch repair kit? Prevent scratches from ever getting on your discs. These snap-on disc covers prevent your discs from getting scratched inside and outside of your media players.

You simply snap the skins on using the Liplock Seal and that's it. Once the skin is on, the disc can be read through the protective layer by your game console, computer, DVD or CD player. Play your favorite games, music and movies worry-free, knowing that your media is safe from scratches. If you scratch a skin, simply replace with a new one. Stop throwing away money on damaged discs — with d_skin, your discs stay protected and pristine.

There is some type of stick on plastic film that some rental chains use. A couple used DVD's I bought from Blockbuster had them on. The problem there is, you can't just take them on and off like the D-Skins. Peeling off a sticker like that can cause damage to the disc since the top (label side) is the sensitive side.
