Most unoriginal TV DVD Covers
In my recent state I have been in a frenzy to collect all of the nostalgic 80's shows I remember from my Childhood, but when I head to the stores to purchase these sets I find myself a little withdrawn at the lack of orginal artwork or even any effort put into alot of the 80's shows especially ones with multiple seasons.
For Example
Cheers
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Golden Girls
Season 1
Season 2
The Greatest American Hero
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3 (Not out till August but still)
I understand the shows are all past and there probably is not too much of new publicity photos for these but can't they at least try and make them match with the seasons and have the covers somewhat feed off of what the seasons had in them.
Am I the only one who is bothered by this?
For Example
Cheers
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Golden Girls
Season 1
Season 2
The Greatest American Hero
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3 (Not out till August but still)

Cheers and The Greatest American Hero match each other fairly well. Golden Girls doesn't thus far, but Disney seems to use varying covers for each show they release, just look at Home Improvement.
The one that bugs me is ER, two seasons of the standard ER green used for pretty much all ER merchandise, and season 3 is an ugly red with a very different layout.

I see what you are saying I guess if I could design them I would design them as covers that match up with episodes and the happenings from season to season
That would make more sense to me

Columbo has a terrible unoriginal cover that makes it look like some budget-bin type of release. And Seinfeld S4 pissed me off going turquoise all of a sudden when the first three (packaged in 2 sets) were solid blue. If they're planning on different colors for each set, then why didn't they make the second set a different color than the first?
