I read an article that the RIAA (the B*st*rds) came across the site and shut it down as far as the cd covers go. I'm not sure why the entire site went down but it is down for everyone in the US. I believe the people who are saying that they are able to get to it are outside the US. I mainly use cdcovers.cc for the DVD covers. I wish they would atleast put that portion of it back up because from what I understand it's only the cd covers that the RIAA raised a stink about.

Works here also. If I use the back button after I save a cover, then it won't do anything. I have to use the drop down of the back botton to get back to the letter of the alphabet I was seaching for.

Same Problem
I'm having the exact same problem. My machine at home gives the same error message but at work I can access the site very well.
P.S. I'm right here in Florida, USA.
I've tried typing the site, pasting, using links... nothing helps.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I used this site quite alot and really miss its resources... it's definitely the best out there.

It might be a DNS issue you can try using the IP instead of the name: http://212.199.125.53

I tried the IP but still does not help. It's just really weird, I thought it was just me but I can see that other people are experiencing the same thing.
Like I said before, I can access it from my work machine but not at home. I have 3 machines at home and none of them can access it any longer.
I've gotten the site for years till now. This is just a recent thing which I'm hoping someone can help to explain.

Try the following with IE closed:
Win XP,Start>run> and type in "cmd" (without the quotes) and click OK
Win98, Start>run> and type in "command" (without the quotes) and click OK
Type or copy/right click paste:
ipconfig /flushdns
press enter
Try CDcovers again
If no Joy, then close IE and access the Control Panel>Internet Options>Tools>General Tab
Use the "Delete Cookies" button
Use the "Delete Files" button and check off "Delete all offline content" and click OK. This could take some time depending on how full the TIF folder is at the time.
When Done, look at the "Security" tab and make sure you don't have any entries in the "restricted zone".
Try IE again, If no joy, make sure you don't have any entry in the "hosts" file (with NO extension.
Location typically is:
Windows XP=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K=C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME=C:\WINDOWS
Have you tries any other browsers other than IE?
Have you installed any software immediately prior to this issue?

My screen name is actually a Crow reference. Couldn't be Underworld since I registered in May of 99. I think the folks responsible for Underworld did the same thing, just a little nod to the Crow universe.Don't get me wrong, Underworld was good, but not half the film the Crow was.

intersting, although the name in Underworld is based on the Corvinas clan that supposedly was the first to "mutate" into vampires and lycans. Maybe they both got it from the same place. OR MAYBE they stole it from YOU.
Interesting, nonetheless.

cdcovers.cc and spybot
I ran spybot after I noticed a rogue dialler and ever since I cannot access cdcovers.c
I think it must be something to do with the stuff the covers site spits out
I'd like to try and access again but I get the sdame error message as the original poster
I tried designating the site a s a friendly site but IE6 won't let me because cdcovers.cc does not have an "s " in it's http address ie "https:/"
if anyone has a workaround or knows as good a site, please let me know

Still can't get into CDcovers.cc
Ok I really need help as well to get into this site once again. I had no problems connecting from my home but I'm in the process of moving and now I can't get into it from any other computer. What's the deal with this site? I also tried the suggestions posted here, I tried clearing everything out of cache etc... and I even download Mozilla Firefox and tried accessing it with the different browser. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, especially since there is no site I have been able to find that even comes close to the selection available from CDcovers.cc
Thanks,
Jason D. Blevins
