newbie, needs help with printing
i am just getting into making my own covers. i'm making a movie for my vidoe production course and have made a pretty basic cover in paint shop pro. i read in some post here that someone brought a cd with their cover on it to kinkos and they printed it for them. My printer sucks so i wanted to do the same thing.
How should i go about doing this? What type of file does my cover have to be saved as? What should i ask for when i get to kinkos? About how much would it cost?
i'm new at this so any help, even the littlest thing would be very helpful for me

Some Kinko's won't let you print copyrighted images, and some do. It all sort of depends on which one you go to and who happens to be working. The best bet is to save them as jpegs (compression factor set to 1) and ask to have them printed on a color laser printer on glossy laser paper. I think they charge $2.50 per print. If you're planning on printing a lot more covers in the future, I'd suggest saving your money and picking up a photo printer instead. You can get a decent one now for like $79.

thanks for the info. the cover has just my design on it, nothing copyrighted so i dont have to worry about that. this is most likely a one shot deal for me printing, so i probably won't have to worry about buying a nice printer, but thanks for that info as well

If it's for a movie, then just having the title would technically constitute a copyright issue, not to mention any stills or images from the film. You might find Kinko's less accomodating than you think...
