Just gotta give a HUGE thanks to whoever hosted and ran that site, and everyone that contributed to it. i got lots of great stuff from it.
and all FREE.
man what a shame it is gone. that pretty much just leaves "the den" .

Any idea why it shut down? For me the biggest dissapointment was the closing of khitomer.net where artists exhibited their creations.
When one looks at some of the crap that the studios release as covers sites like the den, and daprogger are necessary. For example some of us would like to change from the normal case to the Thinpak/Slimline and while in the process might as well replace some of the awful covers.
Hope the guys with the creative touch will find another home on the net.

Ahh that sucks. I got a few hi-rez scans from there and they even had some that I thought I lost in the past that I made that someone uploaded there. Wonder why it was shutdown... cost? legal action? booooo!

Er, yes, thank you. But what is it all about? I looked on their boards and can't tell.

It was an okay site. i loved it when I first found it, but afterwards, it just seemed like a huge dumping ground for crappy scans, the same covers with small alterations uploaded a few times, some unimpressive customs, and a buttload of scans from different countries. Still, it did occasionally have the rare scan of a cover that was much needed and I'll honor it for that.
I think the site was closed down at the will of the owner. I remember reading that it was becoming too hard to keep up (too many covers, too little space, etc.)
