I suppose its b/c many people have these seasons burned for their own use that they want to put in nice cases, rather then waiting and purchasing them officially.

Michael only makes covers for officially released DVDs, so you bootleggers will just have to wait.

Well, for the most part. Lost & the Office would be the exceptions to the rule. Both are being released soon though. Song of the South would be the only real boot cover if I ever get around to it, since it is still unlikely that it will see the light of day.

Season 6 should be a Butters cover based on Do The Right Thing... IMO.

and BLU ideas...
-Terrance & Phillip/Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
-The Army General/The Killer
-Terrance & Phillip/M

that's all I got now

6, 7, 8 and the movie are all complete. I will reveal them at some point. I did use Butters for 6. 7 is my favorite so far.

This is why I have layed low. They have been done for weeks. I was going to post/show them closer to season 6's release. So I will show them soon, but since they aren't on dvd they won't be made available yet. Sorry. I need to clean up my hosting space as it is full and needs tending to before I can show them.

Check back in a week or so.

Don't want to sound harsh but, I don't email out covers. I'd rather spend time working on new works than using that time sending out a dozen covers a day. They will be made available to all on my web space, just like the first 5.

But as always, I appreciate the interest and all the feedback. Glad to see people enjoy them.

Surprise, surprise. I guess relentless nagging works from time to time.

the Criterion Counterparts:
1. - Touchez pas au Grisbi
2. - the Shop on Main Street
3. - Videodrome
4. - Salo
5. - the Killers
6. - Rififi
7. - Chasing Amy
8. - King of Kings
BLU - Charade

Wow. almost 3 days and only one reply. I guess they didn't want to be seen after all. Or did I need to point out that I posted them in the first post?

I figured riley would be pretty hype since I have gotten repeated emails about them. Where ya at Riley?

That is definitely my favorite as well. It turned out better than I had expected. I love Chasing Amy. Thanks for the feedback.

I like them all, but the Chasing Amy and The Killers ones are my favorites. The Videodrome one is my least favorite, but only because the cover image looks strange if you aren't very familiar with the original Criterion cover. Michael, if you want to send the new ones my way, I'll proof them all for typos and stuff .

Actually, I just had a look at Bigger, Longer & Uncut and Season 6 and noticed the following typos/mistakes:

Bigger, Longer & Uncut:

• "lesson:" in the synopsis paragraph should be "lessons:"
• Eliza Schneider is not featured in the movie, so she shouldn't be listed in the credits.
• The movie's Producers were Trey Parker & Matt Stone - Frank C. Agnone II was actually the Animation Producer, Anne Garefino was a Co-Producer (along with Deborah Liebling), and David Niles White was not involved with the movie at all.
• Pam Brady should be listed along with Parker & Stone as one of the writers - officially it should read: "Written By Trey Parker & Matt Stone and Pam Brady" ("&" and "and" actually have different, specific meanings in Hollywood credits).
• There shouldn't be a "TV-MA" rating since it was a theatrical film - instead it should be the rated "R" logo.
• In the copyright text, it should be ©1999 (or ©2000 if you want to go by the home video copyright instead of the production year) instead of ©2004. Even though the official DVD cover doesn't mention Comedy Partners, that is still technically correct since they were the production company along with Paramount Pictures.

Season 6:

• "LADDER TO HEAVEN" should be "A LADDER TO HEAVEN"
• "THE RETURN OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS TO THE TWO TOWERS" should be "THE RETURN OF THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING TO THE TWO TOWERS"
• In the synopsis you mention that this is the season where Butters joins the cast, but in fact he was actually introduced much earlier (perhaps you meant the season where he becomes one of the official foursome).

The Shop On Main Street and "South Park" brought together in one cover.

I'm now envisioning that little anti-nazi film in my head, now with South Park animation. It's oddly heartwarming.

Damnit. I relooked over these last night and thought they were good. It is amazing the typing problems this set has given me. I've probably done 60+ covers and never had this problem. I will update them later and make them available on my web space for all. Thanks joliom.

Oh, and yes that is what I meant by Butters. The problem with making up your own synopsis. That is why I prefer to wait until the actual set is available, I can just cut and paste the text.

There's still a few you missed:

BL&U:

• In the credits it says "Written and Directed By Trey Parker & Matt Stone and Pam Brady" - actually Parker was the only director of the film.
• In the copyright paragraph, the copyright date is still listed as 2004 (twice) - it should be either 1999 (the production date) or 2000 (the DVD release year).
• In the copyright paragraph it says "These discs were created..." - since it's only one disc it should be "This disc was created..."
• There is a bit of green "bleeding" to the immediate right of the special features box that needs to be black masked.

S6:

• Episode 13 says "The Fellowship of the Rings" - it should be "The Fellowship of the Ring" (singular).
• On the back, along the top, there is some leftover image that wasn't completely black masked.

Nice work on the South Park set Mike! Any chance of you doing a Sopranos set, maybe themed to similar movies, such as Godfather, Donnie Brasco, Goodfellas, Casino, Last Don, etc.?

Sorry, mob films are not my thing. For some reason I just can't get into them. The ones I do enjoy are the smaller, off from center films like Donnie Brasco and Bound. Never could get into the Godfather, Scarface or Goodfellas. Haven't seen Casino or Last Don.

I like this one the best because it reminds me of the Chasing Amy Criterion.

Edit: Nevermind, I just realized it was intentionally made to look like the CA Box.

First of all, let me just say that the covers look excellent. Now, am I just being a bit stupid or are Season 7 and Season 8 not available for download yet? Not complaining at all, just wondering.

Nope. Not available. Personally, the sets aren't out yet, so I see no need for a cover. At anyrate, I have some typos to fix on them courtious of Joliom, my interim editor for this series.
