One Crazy Summer Custom

I finally came around to buying this and the cover art was so bad that I had to do this. I changed the spine and front, but the back is the OG. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Another Great 80s cover using original poster art, You rule Buddy. Any chance of a Blame It On Rio cover?

Thanks JJE,

Blame it on Rio? Hmmm. I don't own the movie, but I can see why it needs a new cover. I'll consider it when my other covers are finished and post it on this forum.

Thanks again. Gonna do some more tweaking with this one. I'll let you know when it's uploaded.

Yeah this is another one that I can really use. Nice work on the front and spine, but the back looks a little stretched - it needs a little more work. Look forward to seeing the completed cover.

The back was a little stretched. Fixed now. Also made the UPC look better and the lower text has been brought down a little to fill the extra space. Thanks Joliom.

Again, I ask. Could you do something about that Critic's quote?

Oh, wait...do I need it to realize that the film was a "luff riot"?

This is totally not my work, but it's one of the first covers I downloaded from DVDCA. The only thing I would change is the credits on the front art. But it's kept me happy. I forget the name of the guy who made this.

Hey Josh,

I'm not quite done with the cover. But if you leave me your email, I'll send BOD to ya. The file isn't that big.

You don't like-a da quotes, ah?

I'll get rid of them.

Joliom - I'll send you the cover when I get home tonight.

My email has a 5MB limit. If it's larger than that after being ZIPed, it won't come through. I'd rather have a download, but if you can't do that can you split the cover into separate front (plus spine) and back files and send them separately?

Josh and Joliom you should have mail.

Small update. Took out the quote and just added a pic. Almost there. Just hold em off for a few...Anyhoo, I think I'm done. I'll upload it this weekend if nobody else has any suggestions.

Thanks for the help!

Looks done to me, maybe you could up the Better Off Dead to your site also. It fits the bill as a customized 80s Gem and it is/will probally end up on madvd someday anyways

one crazy summer

Hey Buddy,

Maybe put a small image of the front cover on the top of the spine. You'll obviously have to move the title down on the spine. Just a suggestion.

Thanks, Buddy. I got the email, but my mail reader had problems opening the attachement. I think this is a problem on my end. Any chance you could upload BOD when you do the other? Maybe don't make the link public (since it's not your work), but just something for the readers of this thread?

Sorry to be such a pain.

Hello,

I updated the cover because I found a better source. Anyhoo, I'll upload it later tonight.

Here's what the new one looks like....

Nice, but one thing I notice is that white line to the right of the spine that needs to be cloned out.

Fixed that line joliom thanks. Also added the ripples back in under the wooden poles. This looks so much better. Sorry to have wasted your ink with that last one. Cover is available for download.

Take care.
