How to find the proper size of a cover for DVD case
So you just bought some new multi-disc case, and you wanna make a cover for it? Don't know the size? Here's the easy way to find the proper measurement:
Covers are always 300 DPI. The front and back panels will always be 1535x2175 pixels. To get the spine, measure it with a ruler, and multiply the length in inches by 300. For example, if it's 1 inch, it's 300 pixels. 1.5 inches would be 450 pixels, and 2 inches would be 600 pixels. Now add them all together:
1535+1535+(your spine measurement)= Total length your cover needs to be.
So make a new document, using your width, and the height at 2175 pixels high (the height never changes), at 300 DPI. Now isnt that simple?
