Paramount's policies?

This message has to do with the replacement DVD policy of Paramount. A year ago I bought my sister Grease for Christmas, just last night she finally opened it. I opened it actually, and everything seemed fine. The movie played for about an hour and 10 minutes, until she showed me what happened. The disc paused and skipped. I thought it might have been the lens on my DVD player, because it couldn't have been the disc, it's brand new. But sure enough when I looked at the disc, there was a scratch about the size of a fingernail, and as if someone had used a key and was engraving or something. I went to http://paramount.com/homevideo they don't have a replacement link like fox does, so any help would be great, thanks!
