Comments/Suggestions for my Blade Runner custom...

Okay so I recently got my hands on a DVD that contains the Laserdisc Criterion cut of Blade Runner. This is the European version with extra violence and voiceover, happy ending, etc.

Anyway, there are of course no good covers for it, so I decided to make one. I've been dabbling in DVD Covers for a year or so but I think this is my first posting of one here (myabe not though, who knows). Anyway, source material was ridiculously hard to find, but I think I did okay.

Please comment on this and let me know how it might be improved. Also, I know it has the incorrect font mimicing the "Criterion Collection" banner, does anyone know what the correct font is? And finally, if there is any interest, I could easily convert this to a cover for the normal DVD release of Blade Runner, just to replace the damned snapper.

The full-size is here.

Looks great. Though I'd probably move Rachel on the cover a bit to the left. It looks like Rick's wearing a Rachel T-Shirt.

When I purchased the Criterion Collection cut of "Blade Runner" on dvd about a year ago the seller included cover art with the disc. The cover was a knock off of the Director's Cut version but it was fairly well done.

Your version is quite nice as well but you are missing the movie credit listings and a UPC symbol. NC-17 rating for a 1982 movie? I don't know about that...
BUT I do love the placement of Rachel on the Blade Runners's chest!!

I've already downloaded the high resolution version of your custom and look forward to seeing more of your work.

That it's a great looking cover. I like the design and your choices of photos. Great job!

Brands of the world has an eps file of the current Criterion logo, though it needs to be modified a bit to fit a front cover or the spine. Hope this helps.

Thanks Gary (and everyone else for their encouragement and comments)! I will be putting up a revised version (someone on another forum pointed out it's Deckard, not Deckar, which is what I have).

As to the credits down below, I purposefully left them out since Criterion discs don't have them, but I might make a 2nd version that has them.

And of course the NC-17 is just there because I can't find a friggin "Unrated" box...sigh, and I know it would be quite easy to make my own, but...I'm lazy.

Also as to the placement of Rachel, I did it so the smoke from the picture of Deckard blended in with the smoke from her cigarette, and I will see about moving it, although I do kind of like her placement in his 'heart'.

Okay, bump, I replaced the JPGs with the final version...at least unless anyone else catches any errors.
