Best method of printing a full DVD artwork sleeve?

DO the fellowes sleeves you can buy in the stores actually produce quality looking results given a decent enough printer? I truly wish I could use Kinko's services with glossy paper, but thanks to copyright laws (heaven forbid I make my own artwork for a dvd I purchased ) I can't -- so I'm looking for the next best thing. Figured one of you might be able to help me out.

I've tried several of those pre-cut DVD cover sheets and have never gotten results that compare to just printing on glossy photo paper. I'd recommend sticking with that. Buy a metal ruler and an exacto knife, and you're in business. Also try going to one of the big office supply stores and see if they have cutting mats with the measuring grid imposed on them (mine was $14). They allow you to make precision cuts and resist any damage from repeated cuttings. Trust me, they're worth every penny.

I'm familiar with the exacto, setting up the measurements and all of that though size becomes an issue as a true DVD sleeve is larger than an 8x10 sheet, and I haven't been able to find glossy sheets in legal size paper.

Instead of searching for glossy legal paper, try just adding and extra inch of length to regular photo paper by taping a strip of plain paper to it. This lets the printer print all the way to the edge of the photo paper (you may need to set the paper size to A4 instead of Letter) and there is just a tiny bit to trim off at the sides of the cover.

Or buy a printer that does borderless printing.
