Wierd DVD

My daughter's 3rd birthday was Sunday, and she got a 'Veggie Tales' DVD movie for a gift. When she went to watch it last night, it wouldn't play. (got 'no disk' message on DVD player) I took it out of the player and flipped it over to see if there was a scratch/dust bunny/finger print or something, and the DVD had a bright orange plastic coating about 1/2" wide around the center (not right around the hole, but starting where the inner 'track' would start), and then a thinner - maybe 1/8 in wide strip around the outer edge. Printed on the orange was "set up disk". I tried to pick the plastic off, but it is adhered permanently.

The top of the disk looks like it has the right printing on it for the movie that it's supposed to be.

Has anyone here ever seen or heard of anything like that?

Since it's visibly defective, take it back to the store where it was purchased and exchange it for a new one. I doubt you'll have any problem.
