BEING JOHN MALCOVICH.....I realize this is not the most recent of releases, however, i just got it from CH this week, and it had no insert. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in this thread so does that mean it SHOULD HAVE come with one? Anyone know? Thanks.

BJM does indeed have an insert - a rather nice one too - it's just a 4-pager, but it has nice art work. Although I got mine back when it first came out - who knows what's happened since.
Michael Mann's Collateral does NOT have an insert - there's also no mention on the package that there's a Mann commentary, but it's in there.

Hmmm...So BEING JOHN MALCOVICH did come with an insert, at least at some point....Damn. Has anyone besides me not had an insert with this wacky flick?

Are My Life To Live (Fox Lorber) or After Hours (Warner Bros.) supposed to have inserts?
---------
edit.
Ok, After Hours does not have an insert (see this thread), but I still need to know about My Life To Live.

Niether Iron Gian:SE, or Gangs of New York have inserts.
It's safe to assume that 90% of all WB titles do not have inserts - major titles (like Matrix sequels and Harry Potter) are the only ones from WB I can think of having inserts. Same goes with Miramax, Columbia, Paramount and Universal. In fact, I think the only company that you can count on an insert 100% of the time is Criterion.

I just bought the special edition of "Princess Bride", because it's been on sale a lot lately, and it has no insert. Is it supposed to and, if so, does anybody know if this is also one of those MGM re-releases where they drop features for no reason?

The Princess Bride SE I have has quite a nice insert with art-work and some cool info. Though I got mine the week it first came out. They may have dropped the insert when they dropped the price.

It's not just you, I didn't have one either. Dreamworks doesn't do inserts at all. They haven't for quite some time, I was surprised there wasn't an ad or something though. There was no insert in Shrek 2, but there was an add and nothing at all in Collateral.

Just like Princess Bride, it seems like MGM ditches inserts when they re-price dvds.
