Where do people get the hi-res images for their cases?

I've gone to the movie poster sites and nothing is of that quality.

DVDcoverart site was closed own (search forum for threads full of details)

Best bet is to look for alternative sites. (again, search can be your best friend)

I think it's time to remove those out of date dvdcoverart.com links listed in the first post.

Does anyone know of a Sleepy Hollow cover (front, back and side preferrably) that I could print out? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This was a big headache for me at first, with a very simple answer. Use legal sized (8.5" x 14") paper.

DVD King 05-14-05 09:52 AM

Anyone have any sites that offer hi-res images from movies? I found one awhile ago but can't seem to remember the name.

Jucius_Maximus 08-14-05 08:42 PM

Here's a custom cover for Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence that I assembled.

Feel free to add the link under the anime section if you like it.

jayhawk407 11-11-05 11:47 PM

You can add http://r1db.com - formerly http://madvd.com

I've looked in the search engines, and it's pretty much impossible to hide it, so we've elected to stop trying and welcome new members.... thanks.

digitalfreaknyc 11-23-05 10:13 AM

Is there a way to get these printed by someone else? I don't have the know-how to do it myself and I have a bunch that I need printed out as high quality.

who the heck makes replacement snap cases?

I can't find them anywhere so far, and it seems like nearly half of mine are broken in one way or another (no I didn't do it, they just seem to come that way mostly)

I checked the links on Page 1, didn't have much luck.

Thanks!

seplant 09-11-06 07:40 PM

How about an update on this subject....where is a good source these days for good quality replacement DVD cases at a reasonable price?

Yes, how about that up-date? Anyone find replacement snapper cases that WB and Image used to use? I have lots that broke...

Another site for your list: DVD Covers Fuzion - http://www.dvdcoversfuzion.com

A newer site but a good replacement cover resource nevertheless.

Those fold-away latches are retarded and will eventually break-off. I hate those things as Universal uses them for their packaging.

kenbuzz 12-16-07 01:59 AM

I just snap 'em off, just like those tabs that some DVD cases come with that supposedly lock the cases closed. They're all a waste of time and plastic, IMO.

Snowmaker 12-20-07 02:02 PM

So, is www.usplastic.com the best/cheapest place to order double Amarays from?

Are their double Amarays the one with the flip? Thanks!

alfonsosoriano 06-20-08 12:58 AM

I need lots of replacement cases. A few of the used things I got from secondspin.com lately have just been less than beautiful on the outside. Can't complain about their prices, disc quality, and fast shipping though. I think I'll grab some of those cheap ones from usplastic.

Cactus Jack 08-28-08 06:25 AM

I have a problem with CoverXP. Every cover I print has a large white strip on either the front or the back cover that overlaps the image and makes it look crap.

Can anyone help?

asianxcore 10-28-08 05:26 PM

I know Nexpak makes these cases, but I believe not anymore. Does anyone know where I can get the a 4 DVD case replacement.

This one looks like it's thicker than the 4 DVD cases that are being put out now.

Does anyone know where I can find double wide 2-DVD snap case replacements (like the cases inside the Disney Treasure Tins and Star Trek 2-disc edition movies)?

The inner case my Disney Treasures Donald Vol. 2 came in arrived busted from DeepDiscount.

BillWatkins 11-26-08 04:11 PM

Has anyone scanned Swordfish and edited it to fit an amaray case?

It's the last of my snapper cases and I'd like to replace it. I don't have a scanner and I'm not very good at photo manipulation. I can take care of the printing.

I don't really want to get a subscription to one of these sites for only one scan...if someone can provide me with it, I would be eternally grateful.

Re: Official Replacement DVD Cover & Case Information

Hoping someone can officially identify what kind of cases these are and where to buy them, if possible:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...sterycase1.jpg

This is the current standard DVD case. Inside an Eco-Box, I found the term "Viva", so perhaps these are Viva cases, but that term seemed to be related to the Eco-Box.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...sterycase2.jpg

Most commonly used by Universal on catalog releases. The plastic is black instead of dark gray. I've seen these without latches, but I prefer the latched version.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...119/amaray.jpg

I actually know this is an Amaray, it says on the inside spine. It is a new style of Amaray, which I've seen mostly on new Warner DVDs. The main thing I notice is how it doesn't say "push" on the hub, the three prongs are blank. Mainly, I'm wondering if you guys think if I ordered Amaray cases from a website if I would be likely to get the old style, two-pronged-hub with PUSH marked on them, or these new Amarays.

Help is appreciated!

Does anyonw know where these kind of cases are sold:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...80/dvdcase.jpg

They're thin platic type that are flat and have to be folded to shape when ready to use. I thought I got them from bags unlimited a year or so ago, but they're not on thier site anymore(that i could find anyway). I use themfor my steelbooks and I'm about out of them.

I am looking to replace several DVD keep cases and I am having a hard time identifying/finding the type of case/hub combination. Anyone have any ideas what type of case/hub this is: (I cant post urls yet, but it is the same type case as in picture 1 of post 75 by droidguy1119)

w ww.shop.bresoftware.com/images/wii-case-1generic. jpg

If anyone knows what type of case this is or where they can be purchased any help would be much appreciated.

Another site with resident artists doing cover art:
http://www.customcovers.org/

It's a pay-as-you-go site, where you either purchase credits used to download covers that others have created, or you upload your own to earn credits for future use.

A program I like to use for printing covers and labels is called NEATO MediaFace which can be found on the NEATO web site.
