I like the Berserk box set, but I really love the Band of Brothers case.

I like the Herzog/Kinski collection with the individually colored Nexpak cases - I'd like to see these become the standard.

Meh, shouldn't have been a merge. I was aiming for a BoB VERSUS LOTR thread :-P

Band of Brothers looks awesome. The LotR Boxset is amazing also. There was tons of care given to that packaging.

Best: Lotr: Extended Edition, Se7en , Pulp Fiction: SE and Fight Club

Worse: Any Snapper Case, Any case in a Tin Can.

Best Package is LOTR! BoB is nice, but the material used can't be the only deciding factor. After all, Total Recall's limited mars tin isn't really beloved. ;)

Worst Package is Iron Maiden - Rock in Rio. the hubs are pieces of foam glued to cardboard. It was an intrigueing idea gone horribly wrong!

One of the worst packages must be the sleeve for King of Comedy. It looks as though it's been designed by Rupert Pupkin. It's a shame this has just been thrown out on the cheap because the movie is one of Scorcese's and De Niro's strongest. Is it the last substantial and great De Niro role ?

Dawn of the dead ultimate edition.... its so weak it doesnt hold the dvds correctly!

I got quite a few since I can't really decide but among the best packaging I think I own are probably:

But for the worst? I'd probably have to say something along the lines of the type of packaging that House Of 1,000 Corpses comes in. A cardboard flipper, don't really care for it.

monster legacy cases I don't really like.
what I'm about to say may be very complicated.
on the inside oth of the top and bottom things it connects and closes with do not, if the interior cracks, both of mine have and it does not support it correctly. they are gorgeous though, but have too many loose papers. anyone else know what to do with a van helsing monster plate?

also, cases like the simpson sets, the dvd hub is crucial. what is better? the one that says push, but should really say push and pry?
or the ones they use more, where it's just a standard hub, and you press it and it slides out, those I don't like either, too often they are filed down and the discs slide around and scratch. I've had to convert my season 4 to double amarays..very frustrating too!

the blockbuster heavy duty cases SUCK! not only is there no room for an insert, the clear plastic is tinted and doesn't look attractive.

futurama always has great packaging also tack another vote for the fight club packaging

I agree the individual packagings for the monster legacy collections are kinda flimsy with the loose paper and of course, with all the problems of loose discs. But the box set with the busts is what I own, and man, is that ace :D

anything that comes in amoray is fine for me lol

anyway, some of my favorite packaging is:
Reservoir Dogs (any of the colored editions)
Day of the Dead 2-Disc

and worst:
those fatass two-discs, like Clerks cartoon. Ugly as hell!!!!!!!!!!

The Schindler's List Gift Set isn't very well thought out. It looks nice, but is just too clunky for a film like this. It's a nuisance just to access the DVD and even more so when you have to put everything back together. The flimsy cardboard sleeve inside the plastic casing doesn't help.

Might vote goes for the Seven Plantium Series Edition, I love that case. I also thinking the Korean wood box set for Troy is cool, too bad its a R3 DVD and they only made 2000.

Favorite = Smallville Season 1 & Tru Calling Season 1

Worst = Alias Season 3 & Any DVD without an Insert.
