Pulp Fiction CE Extra - Really Obscure Question
I was just watching some of the extras on the PF CE and on the 2nd disc/2nd page of the disc, there is the Cannes Film Festival Palm D'Ore Acceptance speech that's about 5 min long.
When QT is getting up to give his acceptance speech a woman is yelling something and it sound like it's not nice since QT flips her the bird.
Anyone know what she is saying?
I don't have any reason for wanting to know but curiosity.
Thanks,
mfg

I'm not 100% on what she's saying, I know I've read it before I just forget...
However, the woman is Roger Avry's wife. Apparently there was a huge dispute over the writting credits and Avery felt shafted only getting a "Story by" credit instead of a "Written by" one. His wife got drunk and started screaming at Quentin. I think something similar happened when he went up to accept the Oscar (for writting), only this time he brought Roger up with him.

If memory serves, she was quite displeased with the decision and was shouting "Scandale", I believe. I think she got kicked out of the auditorium.

From The Hollwood Reporter:
THR: When "Pulp" won the Palme d'Or, there was some controversy at the time and some catcalls over the violence ...
Tarantino: That was blown completely out of proportion. There was one woman. Atom Egoyan, who was also In Competition that year, remembers that when the award was announced for "Pulp Fiction," the applause made it sound like, "Yeah, that's a good choice." And then all of the sudden, when the applause died down, this woman was screaming. (Laughs)
