Exclusiveness of Disney Treasures Tins?

I recenetly ordered Mickey Mouse in Living Color Vol. 2 from DDD, and it was my first Tin in the Walt Disney Treasures series. I had also placed an order for Mickey Mouse in Black and White from Half.com, which I just received today.

The MM in B&W has an engraved number on the front of the tin, where as the MMILC vol.2 has none, though inside there is the a number printed on the certificate of authenticity.

Did every Tin from the Disney Treasures series recieve an engraved numbered Tin? Did Wave 3 NOT get these numbers? Is my MMILC v. 2 an exception?

I'm sure many of you know much about these tins, and I look forward to understanding the situation.

Thank you in advance for any help that you provide.

I just got Mickey: ILC Vol 2 in the mail today and it was missing the certificate of authenticity and it had dents all over the tin. Returning it tomorrow.

YMMV but I got a very nice copy via the Exchange Forum. Yes, it's tough to find but as long as you keep looking you'll find one... but be prepared to part with some $$

I know Costco had the first two waves in a boxset (without the tins), but now I don't see them on their site anymore.
