Good Use for an audio commentary
I'm not making fun, I find most tracks interesting, but I've been using them to help me go to sleep. About 30 min into them I'm out like a light. Anyone else do this?

Nope... I don't like leaving electrical equipment running unattended, especially my DVD player.
If I wanna fall asleep to something I'll either use the sleep timer on my clock radio or the ones on both the TV and cable box.

I'm with you dude! I've been falling asleep to commentaries almost everyday now. It sounds weird - but it helps me to sleep, no matter how interesting the commentary is (ie. Zemeckis' commentary or Crowe's). But the fact that listening to commentaries are relaxing dozes me off. Usually I put an alarm on so I can get up when the movie is about to end to turn my pc and speakers off.

Yeah, I'll fall asleep even to a great film if I'm tired enough, but some directors just drone on and sure enough I'm out like a light.
I've never used a DVD with the intention of trying to put me to sleep, but it's not a bad idea.
I'll just cue up the "Boiler Room" commentary sometime if I have insomnia. I've fallen asleep to it a few times already, and still haven't finished it.

I like background noise when I'm getting ready in the morning, so I listen to a lot of commentaries (usually not the whole thing but still) while getting dressed/doing makeup/etc etc.
