Does anybody have any info on this title? I tried ordering it from Deep Discount DVD during the big sale, but they listed it as discontinued on my order.
BWAH! Do I need to run out and search for this, paying top dollar, or does anyone know if this is one of those short moratoriums due to a price reduction (I hope)?

I haven't heard anything, several online sites still seem to have it. I am very surprised at the price it's going for. Also weird that DDD still lists it.
Hopefully it is getting a price reduction as you mentioned.

Thanks, Cow.
I did a search for my Borders around here (several of them) and there was only one at one location... and it was the Alpha version (blech). I see several places that offer it for order, but most don't have quantity on hand statuses. DVD Empire said they had one left, so I went ahead and placed an order for it there.
Hopefully they've actually got it... and hopefully, if it is a price reduction, someone will post verifiable info while I can still cancel the order.

I just watched this on TCM and was thinking about picking it up. The local Borders has it (although it's way too much there) and I still see it at DDD and a few other places. Odd that it would go out of print. Does Kino do that often?

Save your time and energy, don't order from DDD. I said in my first post how DDD cancelled my order.
Also, the one I found at Borders was not the Kino version, although that's what the online inventory said when I searched it. Wehn I called, the clerk only could find the cheap Alpha version.
I would try Amazon if you're interested. They say it ships within 24 hours, which is a good indicator that they actually have it on hand in their system somewhere. When they have to place an order with a distributor, you'll see it listed as a 2-3 day ship period, not 24 hours.
As for Kino, I have no idea how often their titles go on moratorium.
Aside from all that, Daniel, how was the show? I've never seen it before, but I've been checking out a lot of vintage German cinema lately, so this easily crept in my want list.

Sorry, I don't know if the dvd has been discontinued or is set for a price reduction, but here is the link to it at Overstock:
http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2....sgo9qOOdzK__ow
Overstock Catalog #2520852
Listed as "in stock" w/o any "danger" warning (which they do when their stock in an item is low.)
