the artwork isn't up yet, but this site basically shows all what will be in the set. So here you go

I saw the coverart in one of the video store trade magazines. From what I remember (don't have it with me), it was a black cover with the zombie-head and the title below it. It's very similar to the cover for one of the old versions of the DVD, but it fits the color scheme of the site posted above. It was a really small picture though, and it could just be preliminary coverart.

Cover art never played a factor in my decision to purchase a disc, but i have to agree.... I'm glad that I bought the Divimax version too. Having said that though, I'll will be picking this set up as well. Seems like AB is finally giving this title the treatment it deserves.

From what I've read on that site, it appears that the "anniversary" version (found on the OOP AB disc with the Andy Warhol cover) will NOT be included in the 4 disc set. hehe, looks like I'll have to keep that one too.

I'm not talking about the coer art. Im' talking about the fact that I bought a movie and then a few months later , a better ersion comes out.

Oops, sorry... I didn't pick up on the sarcasm of that post.

Don't feel so bad... yet. This 4 disc set hasn't been released...yet

But when AB released the 1-disc back in March, they announced at the same time that there would be a multi-disc edition coming out in September, so it makes no sense to be annoyed at AB for giving fans a choice.

Anchor Bay kept the fans informed pretty well. When the disc you bought was *announced* -- not even released, way before that -- they said "There will be a huge box with many discs before the end of the year." Also, their website has had it listed for several years. Basically, you can regret the purchase, but it's not their fault.

From what I've read on that site, it appears that the "anniversary" version (found on the OOP AB disc with the Andy Warhol cover) will NOT be included in the 4 disc set.
Eh? Is there a fifth cut I didn't realize? [First four being the three being released here plus that crazy German one which has footage from all three edited together.]

I think the Anniversary Edit was a mix of the extended/theatrical. Not the true theatrical version.

As long as it's finally coming out, the cover art is secondary IMO.

Did you miss the dozens of threads about this? Every web site that talked about the Divimax one also mentioned that this uber-edition was coming in the fall.

Yes, the box set was announced quite awhile ago. The single disc version wasn't even originally announced to come out at all, but Anchor Bay decided to do one, timed with the theatrical release of the remake.

That version has been tempting me in the stores, but I've been holding out for the box set. Can't wait.

That's correct. The "Anniversary" cut is my favorite so far... a few added scenes over the proper US Theatrical version but retaining the goblin score.... unlike the "Director's" cut.

I'll be very happy to pick this up.

The Theatrical cut of the movie is the one I preffer the most. But I'm really interested to see the Argento cut, and the inclusion of Document of the Dead along with the new piece is enough to make me look forward to picking this up.

Will be glad to get this, and breath a sigh of relief that I'll probably never have to buy Dawn of the Dead again, after having purchased multiple versions of it on Beta, VHS, DVD and laser disc.

Sorry to hear that, Thunderball. Perhaps you can trying selling your Divimax disc or, better yet, if you know someone who would enjoy the film, give it to them as a Birthday or Holiday gift.
