Never got my BTTF replacement discs. What do I do?
Well, I bought the Back to the Future set, called the 800 number and got my mialer and sent my disks off. That was over 3 months ago.
I did not realize that I had not gotten them until I went to watch 2 the other day. What do I do?
I called the 800 number again and they know bupkis.
Anyone have this happend? What did you do?

I'd call them and tell them you're still waiting and you want your discs. They should be able to issue you another set if the first ones got lost in the mail.

They aren't 'bad', just some of the scenes were matted incorrectly and you can't see the entire original picture. Didn't detract from the movies enough for me to warrant sending them in (risking this exact scenario).

it's been awhile since i got mine back..
but i think the scenerio went like this, they send you an envelope, you fill out some info online, or on a postcard included with their letter to you..
you keep track of when you shipped off, They contact you by email when they received your discs, and a few weeks later you get your discs.
if you didn't use thier packaging to send them back, or if you never got a confirmation that they received them, or no way to prove you ever sent something to them, then i think you're outta luck..
that's why delivery confirmation and insurance is your friend..

I waited until the correct version were available in the stores, I know something like this would of happened to me. Damm you Universal, how could they screw up movies like this?

I recall emailing a woman at Universal, giving my details along with an invoice, and receiving my replacement DVD's a week to two later. I'm in the UK and was expecting it to be a lot longer.
I can't remember the email unfortunately, but you'll should be able to find it through a search of the old BTTF threads.

Just call them up, they'll send you another couple of discs. I know of multiple members here who just called and did that, and sure enough; got the corrected versions a few weeks later. You're not really taking a risk, they'll re-send you some if they don't go through.

Thanks for the # I called and hopefully the mailers will be here. What did everyone do to protect themselves from it getting lost in the mail?

When I sent away for the replacement discs back when the "defect" was first announced, I did it at my own expense. I didn't bother calling to ask for the prepaid mailer or anything; I just sent it to the specified address and used priority mail w/tracking confirmation. They received it after a couple days and the replacements came back in roughly a month's time.

Is this the number for all Universal disc problems?
If so, I need to call it for a bad disc in my Battlestar Galactica set.

Yes they did, they had the green sticker on the box labeled "Remastered". I picked it up myself and part 2 and 3 have v2 on them....where have you been?
