WTF is Columbia doing with the 3 Stooges Library?

Looking at the next 2 releases that will arrive on Aug. 10, I noticed:
1. Only 4 shorts per disc (down from 6 on the 1st release, Curly Classics)
2. Double-dipping: Men In Black, Punch Drunks, and Violent Is The Word For Curly are already released on other volumes.
3. Colorized?!? From the amazon.com ad,
ChromaChoice allows you to toggle instantaneously between the enhanced colorized and original black & white versions using your DVD remote

Colors were intensely researched to preserve historical accuracy, then the movies were colored frame-by-frame by artistic talent on high-definition masters and color-corrected like any other film.

I just know with my luck that as soon as I finish buying all these that Columbia will end up releasing complete box sets in chronological order.
COLOR?!?!?!?!?!

F//K YOU!!!!!

I'm waiting until a set is released with all the episodes... There is a thread here that tells you what DVDs you need to get them, but I think I'm still going to wait.

[nitpick] You know they're not really episodes right? They're short films that would play before features, generally only one reel long. They just happened to be the perfect length for syndication to TV [/nitpick]

I'd love to have some Stooges DVDs, but I can wait for at least a semi-chronological box set.

This is just criminal. I'm surprised they're not cropping them to fake a 16x9 widescreen!

This is where I stop buying Stooge DVDs.
