I've never seen HBO do price drops on any of their DVDs save for the movie 61* (which you could get for $5.99).

None of their other box sets have ever had a price drop, AFAIK, and some of them (From The Earth To The Moon for example) have been out a lot longer.

It's out of stock at DDD right now and IF their sale code(s) work on backorder items, I'd order it before the sale ends. You can pick it up for $63.40 after discount reflecting their current price.

Considering most online retailers sell it for $80+, that's quite the bargain.

Band of Brothers is by far the best boxset I own - if not the best DVD(s) I own. It's worth the price.

I'll agree with the statement that HBO never drops the prices of its box sets.

This is a good time to take advantage of Deep Discount DVD's 20 percent off summer sale. Coupon code: DVDTALK.

"Band of Brothers" is $63.40 with free shipping during the sale.

the code does indeed work on backorders, just not preorders.

I found a mint used copy for my Dad for $59, so $63 for new is as good as it gets for awhile and more than worth it.

From the Earth to the Moon is $60 right now at DDD with the 20% off sale ($74.99 less 20%).

Band of Brothers is completely worth it for $63. Without a doubt my favorite DVD.

I found BoB in Vinita, OK at Walmart for $54.99. Here in Boston I can only find it for $89.99. Is it a regional thing, sales wise?

Granted, it was 2 years ago or so, but I found my copy on ebay for like $38 shipped without too much trouble.

If you're an eBay man, head on over there. I got myself the set a few months ago for $50 shipped. See what you can find.

There's a DVD place that has had a used copy for $50. No one seems to want it.

I found a new copy at the swap meet for $54. I thought it was a used copy! The only damage was to a small square part of the back of the cardboard part that you toss away.

You never know where you'll find a copy.

I missed Fry's sale of the Band of Brothers set for 60 some bucks. I'm hoping they or someone else will do something like that again. I've been waiting on getting this set, just because it's been too expensive

So what's wrong with the Deep Discount DVD sale that's going on right now?

I noticed that Oz Season 1 went up in price, but that is probably just the store and not a price raise.

I got mine last year for $40 from Half.com. I see that there are some new items for around that price now. It may be worth the risk to save $20.

BOB can be ordered from Australia for a very resonable price of USD 32.00 without shipping
