There is the "Tales from the Crypt: Robert Zemeckis Collection" DVD that is available in region 1 and contains 3 episodes that were directed by Zemeckis. Personally, I'm holding out for season-by-season box sets, though.

"with French subtitles burnt in and always on" -> NO !
It is an error on the site bus in the menu of the dvd it has there the choice only between French or English with subtitled French. But once the launched episodes, one can remove constantly the subtitles.
The episodes are in French or English with or without the French subtitles. The subtitles are removables.

There was in all 13 dvd which was put on sale on the site :

but they all are remained on sale only a few weeks.
There it does not remain any more but 13th (with episodes : People Who Live In Brass Hearses, Oil's Well That Ends Well, and Undertaking Palor) which will not be soon any more on sale.
All the dvd are only in zone 2 with the French and English languages.
