Where's MANSON - the 1976 documentary?
With Helter Skelter making its DVD debut, and Charlie Manson Superstar released not too long ago, you'd think the release of the Academy Award nominated documentary Manson would be a natural.
So, where is it?! I'd hate to buy a video cassette of it off e-bay..

I agree!!
This is an excellent documentary, and the prices for the tape on eBay are are usually high, being a pretty rare find. The VHS release is so old (at least the one I had) that the box is extra large and needs that plastic tray inside to keep it secure.

I bought it at BBV pre-viewed for 9.99 a couple weeks ago. It shows up on DVD Afficionado as "unauthorized"... picture quality not much better than VHS, so it may be a boot, but it is a silver DVD (ie. not DVD-R).

The company that released this on DVD (I forget the name... Trans-somethingorother?) did not have the rights and the discs were pulled. It shows up on eBay every now and then for a decent amount of $$$$.
