TV Premiere DVDs at Amazon (and elsewhere?)

Amazon (and, I assume, other places) have TV premiere DVDs available for $5.95 each:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...750471-2526367

10 shows (Gilmore Girls, Babylon 5, Jonny Quest, Kung Fu, ER, Waltons, Gilligan's Island, Flintstones, Jetsons, Taboo). And you get a $5 rebate by mail if you buy one of these and then buy any full season box.

Aw man! They announced these were coming out earlier this year and I've been waiting...but I thought they were ALL supposed to be on one DVD, not separate DVDs.

Nope, it's all seperate DVD's so they're cheap, enticing, and hopefully you'll want to buy the boxed set. Wouldn't be a bad idea to put a few of these on 1 disc and sell it for $20, would have the same effect I think, and might be more attractive to some people.

This is a good deal if you plan on buying one of the seasons of one of them with the rebate I guess. $6 is too much for one episode (especially a pilot) though IMO.

The Babylon 5 disc isn't a bad deal since the pilot is actually a 2 hour movie.

I work at Eckerds, and we just got these same discs in today. Ours are $5.99.
