Bubba Ho-Tep Audio Problems?

It seems that there is a pretty noticable audio flaw on the Bubba Ho-Tep DVD, it is towards the end when they are out in the field. As Elvis is yelling the audio peaks pretty badly, on a long sentance, I will try and get the time code tomorrow, but I would think more people would have noticed this. It wasn't mentioned in any reviews I read which I couldn't believe.

I have only tested this on one set of speakers, but with 2 copies of the disc, and both times it happened at the same exact spot, and even when turned down very low was still noticible, leading me to believe it is in fact a defect of the Disc...

Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think there is any chance of them fixing this? It isn't the biggest movie so it is understandable why they wouldn't but I just couldn't believe that no one has mentioned this yet, especially in reviews...?!

Hmmm... I have watched my copy at least 5 times and didnt notice anything. Maybe with a timecode I can check more closely.

It all really depends on the system you have. Some DVD's have noticeable points like that. Sometimes it's noticeable no matter what, sometimes only noticeable if you have an optionable 'Dialogue Enhancer' on. But yeah, with my system, a Panasonic SC-HT920, I noticed some bad peaks as well.

Honestly, when I watched this the first night I bought it, there were about 3 to 4 parts of bad audio peaking I noticed (old man dying towards the beginning, another yelling part, the one in the end with Elvis on the lawn and one other).

I thought at first it could've been my speakers (just bought all 7 in February), but then just blew it off as bad audio recording on the set. None of the reviews mentioned it so I thought it could've just been my setup, which is fine (no dialouge enhancing or any shite like that), so again I thought it was the recording on set.

Anyone else experiencing any bad audio peaking with their disc?

Yes, the dialogue gets particularly edgy at a few points. A couple of reviewers pointed this out, including the always-reliable DVD Movie Guide. I noticed it as well. It seems like the type of thing most DVD reviewers would harp about, but it largely went unmentioned.

Thank you very much Adam. Puts my mind at ease, and saves me a boatload of time measuring different frequencies and watching different movies to see if a component was blown out.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I didn't want to make a new one. I'm just now getting around to watching my copy of Bubba Ho-Tep. At times, the dialogue is WAAAAY off, has this happened to anyone else, or is it possibly that it's just a bad copy of the dvd?
