what is the best version of 'Nosferatu' (1922)?

Of the various DVD's version currently available, what edition is the best to get? I am looking to buying either the Kino or BFI (region 2 UK) edition, but was curious to know if one: what are the pro and cons of these two editions, or if there is talk of a newer version slated for release in the near future.

DVD Beaver reports that "The ultimate edition is yet to come. It should include the complete original German intertitles, the original score by Hans Erdmann which was restored in 1995, and the 1995 documentary by Luciano Berriatúa on Murnau's life and work, "El lenguaje de las sombras" (240 min)"

The R2/BFI dvd has a really nice score by James Bernard.

For a comparison, check DVD Beaver:

Just for the sake of this thread, Barry Maxwell at The Digital Bits claims that Milestone is working on a Nosferatu special edition.

Agreed. Although the Kino version is right up there for different reasons, as well. I've got the Image version and will probably get the Kino version again (as part of the Kino German Horror set) regardless of the possibility of an ultimate edition in the future. This is definitely one film that I don't mind owning various copies of if each has something different and worthwhile to offer.

The Image disc is very nice, but I don't care for either soundtrack option. I hate the cheesy new score mixed in 5.1. The organ track is more appropriate, but puts me to sleep every time.
